tHciNc,

I've ripped the GH songs I wanted off the discs I have and have multiple DLC that I've purchased. With this I have four (4) SD cards (2GB & 4GB 'standard' SD cards) containing all my songs/rips. As we all know, this is a pain in the ass swapping cards etc... I was only ever to get RawkSD working properly (as discussed in the forums) running RB2 from disc after running the RawkSD installer via HB and shutting down/restarting if I want to change SD cards.

I DL'd the RB DLC Manager and got all my DLC & rips onto my PC. But as I see/understand this program, I can only then move songs around on my SD's. But tHciNc posted: "Just tested by setting all 4 gens as dlc and copied 1400 songs to sd/usb no probs" but can you clarify / help me out on this.

Are you able to run all the DLC/rips from USB partition while running RB2 from disc or am I misunderstanding your post?

I've attempted moving around the songs from DLC Manager onto a fresh SD card, but none of the songs work now? Am I doing something wrong or misunderstanding the purpose of the prog?

Thanks!

would i be correct in saying the song still needs to be downloaded to the card used and only can be deleted from the card using the program and not the music shop?

For all the people having those String/DBNull issues...

I'm pretty sure this is a CIOS-related problem; they use the wrong encryption. That is what I meant by "mangling" the DLC. Don't be deleting files or anything to make it work, if you're using a CIOS it's just going to download the same way again anyway.

If someone with problems is using a CIOS and can send a copy of their rng_key.bin and one of the odd-numbered files (001.bin, 003.bin, etc) from whatever games are having problems (RJ9E/P is Beatles, sZ(A/B/C/D)E/P is RB2) to [email protected] I may be able to fix it.

There isn't any reason you can't use the music shop to handle the DLC if you like. When you download the same song to 2 different SD cards the files are the exact same, and this program doesn't modify them either. Copying stuff to a fresh card should make them show up properly as "Downloaded" if you load up the music store.

I would recommend you download all your new releases and add/remove customs on one "master" card and use the "Tools->Force Index Synchronization->SD Card -> DLC Collection" before copying stuff back and forth though just to avoid issues.

Was just using usb for space just to put app through paces, cant currently play from usb, also regarding new cardyou might need to download 1 of the dlc songs to the card in game, then it should show

Recipe for RB2 USB DLC

1) RB2 Store dlc marked as purchased (don't ask me how to do this)
2) Latest Hermes ios37 as ios223 (think it's version 5)
3) nand dump saved to "nand" directory on usb drive (I used FStoolBox)
4) latest uloader set to load RB2 with ios223 and dlc on usb nand (I used 4.9A)
5) download all purchased songs in RB2 music store (you should see blue led flash when saving to emu nand on usb

This version may or may not fix some CIOS-mangled DLC. Only one person sent me the files I asked for and it was only for RB2. AFAIK I fixed it so this version will detect and load those files properly, but it would take people who actually have this setup to really give it a test outside of my controlled conditions.

Version 0.21

Please be aware this will now seamlessly allow you to mix mangled and un-mangled DLC (the same way you could mix DLC from two different Wiis already) and the manager won't care...but RB2 certainly will. That is a user-caused problem way outside the scope of this manager.

Its alot easier to download from nus, decrypt and then copy it to nand dump prior to playing rb2. As for the DLC Manager what the definition of Mangled DLC ?

"Mangled" DLC is DLC which was downloaded from the Music Store that is partially corrupted because it was downloaded while running the game under some versions of cIOSes. These files will often look okay and sometimes play fine in Rock Band but the tags are usually messed up. Occasionally mangled DLC will cause errors in Rock Band itself. The manager will no longer crash when reading these, but it's encouraged that you download your DLC through the music store while running from the original unmodified IOS, or using the PC decryption method.

In short form: anything a clean Wii would never put out.

What I just fixed had to do with using the wrong encryption keys, but AFAIK there are versions of CIOS that actually corrupt DLC and there are versions that store songs in completely different formats than what normally happens. And if Beatles DLC is still not working it means there is likely more than 1 way CIOSes screw up the encryption keys.

Version 0.22

* Loading songs/dumping DTAs should no longer cause the UI to stop responding
* Status bar now provides updates while doing loading/copying/deleting - now using the program with the log hidden is viable!

* Beatles DLC should now report the proper year (reload may be required)
* Prevented from closing program during a load/copy (avoid crashes)

Feel free to let me know if you have any problems! I had a lot of issues getting the loading change working right so I'd be interested if anyone gets some errors during it.

I downloaded some songs off out ot the RockBand 2 Music Store and they were backup to my SD. When I openned the RockBand DLC Manager it gave me a "could not decrypt" error on the files. And on some of them it said that the preview was missing. Can anybody tell me what I'm doing wrong?

What you're doing wrong is running RB2 on a CIOS.

Follow the instructions in Help->Beatles DLC and that should hopefully fix your problem.

Can you link me to what you are referring to? I did a search, but I didn't see a thread with that title show up.

...I mean the menus in the program
