Nintendo can auto-update your Wii at any firmware.

So is it safe to keep the internet connected? Yes.

Why? because Nintendo won't brick anyones Wii's or else they'd end up losing money from all the bricks they have to fix. And the possibity of them auto updating is there but the probability? Its very scarce. The chances of them doing it are slim, so dont count on it.

So should you leave Wiiconnect24 on?

Yes! Theres no reason not to!

Nintendo likely won't do snything without asking you, and with the homebrew tech we have these days, even IF they pulled soemthing off, it should easily be undoable.

Hi guys, I've been out of the scene for a while...just updated SoftChip every now and then...

My situation is this:

- PAL Wii on 3.2E
- Twilight Hack and HBC
- Starfall with some functions installed
- The standard cIOS for using WiiGator's BL and SoftChip installed
- 3.3 fakeupgrade (can't remember the name), the one in djtaz's package
- Some wads installed but I don't think that's a problem

So, do I have to follow the guide as it is or do I have to make some different operations, like uninstalling Starfall?

Please don't make me brick my Wii

PS: the name SoftMii looks like the best so far, but what about....

One last similar question, will an update to 3.4E completely remove all traces and files of the RiiskiMod. I need to know it will work just like before if I try this.

@Rev. I'm still learning here, but I think that you would need to ARC back to 3.2 first, to overwrite the CIOSCORP files?

Just got back from a weekend out east, I see there is a r2. From what I have read, its just the move disc channel and and easier cleaner DOC + install system? Lots of pages, I want to make sure I didn't misread anything...

yes it would, accept for the CIOSCORPS pack. those will all stay CIOS's accept for the ios used by the system menu...

Oh yes. Delete CIOSCORP.
Delete everything you see under "System Titles" in AnyTitle Deleter.
Do it.

No. Of course you overwrite them. Uninstalling them would be stupid.
