Ouendan 2 was awesome - the music, the stories accompanying each song, and the main story with the whole rivalry thing just melded together into an awesome game. The Ouendan 2 ending was epic.

EBA was crap compared to it, imo. Seemed like most of the stories were about people getting rich or some irrelevant crap. Most of the songs were the same, but there were some really good ones: You're the Inspiration and September were pretty good.

Having Bowie and Queen was pretty cool, but they could've chosen some better tracks.

I guess there were a few crap ones in Ouendan too - damn female vocals on Bang! Bang! and that Morning Musume shit annoyed me. I wish they had the original of Okura Kotoba too.

Oh, and I dont like EBA just cause of the songs.. yes I played it, and no I didn't like the songs... Ouendan was great, and i liked every song, even that egyptian one (because it was funny)...
and ouendan 2... hell, i thought most of the songs sucked! Kimura Kaelas song is great... the ending... and the faster songs (that child with "problems") etc....

I think you misinterpreted something in there.
No one was implying Avril Lavigne and Good Charlotte, were emo.
The guy responded "gay" to every song on EBA, and all the songs on EBA have been on the top charts at some point, and since most people who reject mainstream music are usually punk-emo-goth-etc type, he was calling him emo.

EBA and Ouendan are exactly the same except for their songs and language, I don't know how you can say "I don't like EBA just because of the songs but I loved Ouendan". Unless perhaps the storylines/comics are funnier (although I thought the EBA stories were pretty funny and cheesy), but I'm assuming you don't know Japanese.

Why do you say "it has sk8er boi for god sake"? Because that song was #1 in many music charts in 2002.

Well, it's all really simple... the SONGS!
I dont like the SONGS in EBA... I DO like the songs in Ouendan. It's a game with MUSIC... SONGS matters!

Okay, if not.. let's make an example...
Say you like Pop... You're a Die hard backstreet boys fan... You got the opportunity to either sing in backstreet boys, or Slipknot... gee.. WHY would you enjoy backstreet boys over Slipknot? They are Exactly the same, except the Songs and their Looks...

(Oh, and on a side note: I am not "too indie" to like the songs... There are tons of better songs by those same artists, or any other "mainstream" band..)

I probably enjoyed the Ouendan songs simply because I couldn't understand them and had no preconceived ideas about them - ignorance is bliss in that respect.
