thanks a lot retro..:D
i just tried pokemon black 2 out on my r4i-gold unlimited upgradable card from r4i-gold.hk..and it is working perfectly..^_^

My nephew has what looks like an R4i Gold card from www.r4ids.com. It has R4i written in gold writing and that website on the front if it. He has asked me to try and update it as his last official firmware update was version 1.32 in 2009 and he is unable to play most games released after that. I've trired all of the versions in RetroGameFan Updates/Releases as both single and dual boot but none seem to be compatable. I've managed to get YSMENU to load as dual boot with some of the versions but when I try and load any game I get the following error message: 'Unsupported DLDI Name'.
Can anything be done to get this card working with these updates or is it a lost cause?

I'm having issues with the English patch 3.1 of Fire Emblem Shin Monshou no Nazo

1. Release Number : 5097
2. Game Full Name : Fire Emblem: Shin Monshou no Nazo ~Hikari to Kage no Eiyuu~
3. Game Serial : TWL-VI2J-JPN
4. CRC32 :
Unpatched: B6AF36B5
Patched: 889BE26F
5. The problem you're having
Error =-4, it refuses to load, it's supposedly added into the infolib, but not sure if the discrepancy in the CRC32 is causing the issue

I also have to add in that the unpatched version works normally

Is there a version that supports R4isdhc-silver [new label] from r4isdhc.com?

Infolib.dat dose not use the crc32

However it dose use the encrypted part the ROM ID

To always get the Ture encrypted Game ID for every game open a copy of the ROM, in hex editor and edit offset (H)

000000160 to 0000001FF fill with 00's and save ROM

68ya8g.png

Then use R4cee to get the new encrypted Game ID

And your new is: VI2J 9EA31B40

2dkn5o7.png

Now you only need to edit this into infolib.dat only, as extinfo.dat can use defaut VI2J 00000000

Use TTdT.exe copy and paste a pre done game, and edit in your new game ID and save file as is, (Note) "do not" save as are it will corrupt infolib.dat

Job Done ;)

New ROM AP fix for v3.01
0015FE2C: B4 AA E0 -> B3 AA 36

Hi all. I've been using retrogamefan's updates for a while now and it works like a charm! Really good stuff right here.

I have a few questions that I hope can be answered here, though.

A friend of mine has a new 3DS XL and apparently neither her (un-updated) or my (retro version/updated) flash card works on it. Is it because of the software of the unit? Does this mean that in the event that I update my own 3ds (Which I haven't since I got it early last year), I won't be able to use my flashcard at all too?

Oh...and does the cards support Pokemon Conquest or is it just my version being buggy?

Thanks!

That's unrelated to RGS and other game-loading kernels, that's due to the firmware on the flash cart itself.
http://gbatemp.net/topic/315784-flash-carts-and-dsi3ds-updates/

In order to update the firmware of a flash cart for DSi/3DS update compatibility, you'll need to go to the site printed on the cart, download the latest one, and run it (it's generally in the form of an .NDS file, or it might be the "update" function in the home kernel). However in order to do this, the update must exist, and if you're using RGF it generally means that your cart hasn't been updating at all anyways... so if there is no update, then there's no update and you're better off getting a new cart.

Ok. Thanks!

I guess her updated unit really can't support flash cards.

Another question. Does RTG fan updates support the cards that link to r4iplat.com?

Must be your microSD card, I have an R4 revolution for DS (NDSL/NDS) original and 2GB kingston MicroSD , ysmenu + woodR4 and no issues with them games.

On the other hand on a new update maybe you could try backup the save file, delete save file of microSD and start a fresh save on boot of your games, sometimes it helps.

Hi, I want to install TTMenu as a PRIMARY KERNEL on my R4i SDHC from r4i-sdhc.com, so that I don't have to open the games menu and launch the TTMenu.nds every time I turn on my system.
The "How to install.txt" says that I need to copy the Games folder, TTMenu folder, R4.dat and TTMenu.dat . But there is already an R4.dat in the R4i SDHC kernel, and if I replace it with the TTMenu's R4.dat, I get an error message saying "?menu". Is there any way I can fix this?

I know, but this card have no problem, is just strange with these two games ! I explain, already, that long time ago...
