Has anyone had any luck using the analog stick with a Pro controller? Works fine when enabled on the regular gamepad but not on the Pro.

I've also noticed that with PCE Fast (using the stable 1.41 core) that sometimes a single button press will get caught in a "loop", never allowing you to do anything else while the emulator seems to continue with a single button press over and over again. I'm using mostly generic input settings other than enabling the left analog on the gamepad. It may affect other cores but I've been spending most of time in PCE Fast and Genesis Plus.

Yes so just tried the 1.4.1 release and you are actually right it is broken but just goto the homebrew app store and download the version from there. It works fine
I don't think the one on the appstore works with the new core loading, so it only works as stand-alone. I'd recommend downloading an older nightly. The 2-1 nightlies were the last ones I downloaded and tested and seemed to all be working. This reminds me I really need to update some cores on the appstore, but kind of busy working on adding something to Retroarch.

I have a problem that I been unable to find the solution. I have various ROMS for both the NES and SNES. Both emulators run perfectly fine, load up the the save SRAM, run pretty much flawless except after a few minutes to about 30 minutes..the emulator suddently shut downs along with the wii u. I have to click the power button, turn on the wii u and reload the retroarch all over again. Any save states/SRAM saves are lost due to this unexpected shutdown. I wonder if anyone else is having a similiar problem and this is already a known bug. Thanks.

Been playing Nes and snes games since retroaech first came out on the WiiU and never had a problem like the one you have. How are you booting retroarch are you using haxchi or mocha or through the Internet browser.

Did you check to see if the fans were working cause it sounds like your console was overheating.

Here is the o2em_libretro core with preliminary keyboard support. You can now start games that wouldn't start before, because you had to press a key on the keyboard to get them to start. Just plug in a USB keyboard at any time, and when presented with the start game screen, press any key and the game should start. I'm trying to fix the code, so it gets the correct key presses, which it doesn't seem to be doing, but at least it will let you start the games now. Most games can be played with the controllers anyway, they just need to be started with a key press. Since I can't seem to get the keycodes working, certain games that have multiple modes will always start with the same mode. I hope to eventually get it all worked out, and then hopefully I can add it to some other cores, like fuse. Once it is working properly, I'll do a PR with the RetroArch repo, so all the nightlies will have the support. But until I get this working properly, I'm not doing a PR. Have fun!

I had the same experience, if I recall correctly it was the fba core.
Also reading some of the comments, I REALLY HOPE THE BUTTON PRESS LOOP IS NOT BACK TO HAUNT US!!!!

This was a problem never fully fixed on RA for Wii, sadly...

NExt: Scanlines please!!!!

I've submitted a PR for the initial keyboard support for Wii U. Hopefully they accept it and @aliaspider might be able to help me locate why it isn't working properly. It may be that the cores don't fully support keyboard that I've tested, I am not sure. But if they accept the PR, all the cores will have it built into them, and then we can test mame or fba cores and see if it works. I'm kind of busy and not able to build those cores right now.

USB keyboards now properly work in RetroArch. I just sent the PR that fixes them. @aliaspider should be merged my PR very soon, and then all further nightlies will support a USB keyboard plugged in. I've tested in o2em and can verify that all keyboard input worked. It didn't work in fuse, but found out that it only uses the OSK anyway. But other cores should support the keyboard. BTW, thanks to aliaspider for the help in fixing it. Enjoy!

Do the USB keyboards work with IOSU or do they work without having to run sigpatches or IOSUHax?

I tried with both. Currently I use haxchi mostly because of the convenience. I am able to load up the app store, loadiine and I have only three cores (SNES, NES, Genesis) install. They all work great (video, audio, input) except this random shutdown is driving me crazy.

Actually I didn't think about this one. I'll check the fan/console temperature next time I play. It could be the emulator maxes CPU/GPU for some reason, overheats and shutdown console to avoid damange. I'll try anything at this point. Thanks for the suggestion.

Still having issues with TG-16/PCE-CD, I don't know what I'm doing wrong, I have all the info files..Do I load the BIN or CUE files for ISOs? *sigh*
It could be a bios issue, is it in the right place? Be sure it's in sd:\retroarch\cores\system\syscard3.pce, if so, download it again, could be corrupted.
