well i got wiiu pro so im already very satisfied with my controllers.
Even the GC Controller is way better than the Wii U Pro in my opinion. Unfortunately it has some buttons missing (ZL and minus) and the D-Pad sucks. It's the best controller for MK8, Sm4sh and Nintendont (obviously) though.
But now that I had the chance to put my hands on a friend's Switch Pro Controller I really fell in love with it.
It's really on par with the XBox One S Controller and the fact that I can use it on PC, Android and Wii U (thanks to Maschell's fantastic homebrew) makes me buy it next month although I don't own a Switch.
(Being able to have my own Switch Controller when I visit Switch owning friends might be another reason ...)
Only big downside is the fact that it still (for f*ck's sake, Nintendo!) has those goddamn digital L/R buttons instead of analog ones. Would have been great to use it for racing games on PC as well but I guess I can live with it.
My dream setup is a GC Adapter with 4 GC Controllers (for friend evenings) and a Switch Pro Controller for myself.
If Maschell manages to get HID to VPAD running in RetroArch too it would be even better for me. =)

Nevertheless the Wii U Pro Controller is a good one, don't get me wrong on that. ;)

obviously for nintendont i use wiiu gc adapter with gc controller becuase you cant get any better than that lol, the games were made for it but for retroarch wiiu pro is much better due to having an amazing dpad imo and all the buttons.

Yeah it depends on the games but I won't play much with GC Controller in RetroArch. That's a use case for a Pro Controller (Switch or Wii U). :)

Hi.... I'm still asking if there's a solution for the sound issue running the CPS2 games in the 1.5 version of final burn alpha, sorry for rebloging, but I can't find a solution yet :(

Hi

I've just installed this on my Wiiu - Use it on my PC.

I've downloaded, the latest version from the site and installed it as per, the setup.

Everytime I scan a directory for the ROMS - I'm getting a DSI error, however, if I select a rom individually, they boot up fine. Am using the Haxchi exploit along with CHBC.

The WiiU had the latest system update before it was modded, if that's any help.

Ahh, so it appears that you must manually create playlists - wonder if I can adapt existing ones from pc to WiiU - I shall investigate :)

Thanks
You can. You just need to turn the slashes around -> \ to /
Also you need to adjust the paths (obviously) and change core extensions from dll to rpx.

thanks for that - I'll give that a bash this afternoon - Much appreciated
I wrote it in my linked guide as well what you have to take care of for playlists on Wii U (compared to PC).
It's the fastest way for me.
I installed RetroArch for Windows 1.4.1 on my PC with the exact same cores I got on Wii U.
Then I tested which games work, created my playlists and used the editor's replace feature to adjust the paths for everything. Worked on the Wii U in an instant. :)

Anyone knows if the save files of Retroarch are cross compatibles in Retroarch? I mean, using the same rom, would the save work in Retroarchs of Raspberry, Vita, PC, etc?

As long as they use the universal format for SAV/SRM, etc formats, yeah, just as ShadowOne333 said :P

Is there any way to turn off the Gamepad or at least its display when using Retroarch?
I always play on a TV and use my Pro controller while the Gamepad just sits there and burns its battery. I already tried Padcon but it crashes the whole console when I launch Retroarch with Padcon activated.

I just walk until the gamepad lost signal and turn off with the power button
