It should. @ShadowOne333 :P

Also @m4xw might be able to tell why those cores are broken in the newer releases.
I wasn't aware of that. It's been ages since I used Mame 2003 or Mame 2003+
PrBoom also has a weird bug, in which after some 10-20 minutes of playtime, if you use the save/load features, the app crashes, although this seems to be a core-specific issue, as I can replicate it in several devices.

Nothing working. I have an idea I d like to try something. Can someone give me his retroarch.cfg file configured for gamepad at launch? It should work. If someone can give me that... Thanks!

I have low hopes of this working but you can try it to see if it changes anything. Maybe it'll give some insight to where the problem might be. You are extracting the entire retroarch zip file to the ROOT of your SD card, right?

I am trying to disable the touch screen at launch with notepad. Can someone tell me which lane I have to modify?

Yeah I do it like that. I try your file and I tell you. Thanks.

Yeah... It doesn't work cause we don't use the same version of RA.
I get angry with that.........

Should work with 1.9.1 or 1.9.2

Don't know what to tell you... Have you tested your SD card if it is fake? Have you gone as far to "start from scratch" as I mentioned before? Please answer both questions.

Everything works fine with my SD card. Except the fact I can't use pads in reteoarch
I tried a second SD from scratch and this is the same thing...

I use the version 1.7.6 of RA because with the 1.9.1 Atmosphere give me an error code when I launch it. Error code 2168-0002 (0x4a8)

Ah ok. I think I know your problem with running RA 1.9.x. Maybe you aren't running in full-RAM mode. You need to run it by selecting an NSP title while holding R. Then you will enter into the HB menu. Then you can run Retroarch.

Don't use a Retroarch NSP shortcut. It isn't supported.

Well, I tried holding R and not. Same issue. Error code.

I don't think you understand. You don't launch Retroarch while holding R. You need to launch a game that isn't Retroarch while holding R (from the Switch home screen). It will take you into HB menu with full-RAM unlocked.

Well I love you. It works. No problem with pads. Thank you so much.
Just a question. I have to do this all the time to play retroarch? Holding R on a nsp, then launch from home brew?

Yeah. A while ago they had released their own shortcut so you could run it from the home menu, but later they found issues with it. This is the best, and only supported method. I'm happy that we found your issue.

And i wonder why even the first post in this thread exists If most people just straight up ignore it. I suggest you reading the op, you will get a lot of useful information from it (also there's libretro official website for RA/core specific stuff)

The issue here was mostly language barrier.

We live in a 21 century when you can copy paste any text in any language and some random ai voice will read it for you with little to no mistakes, so its just an excuse, but its off-topic. Anyway, i'm glad the issue got resolved.

Try English to Japanese, back to English.

It used to work for him and then it didn't. I can understand his confusion and not being insightful enough to read the readme from the beginning all over again--let alone understanding what "title redirection" is supposed to mean.

It is an excuse. But I allowed it.

Thanks for your help it works great. And thanks for your patience

I'm getting an EXTREMELY specific, odd bug and I don't have any idea what the cause could be.

Playing Pokemon Crystal Clear on Retroarch nightly builds (through title redirect) will cause a crash whenever the Pokedex closes (on the white screen transition), but ONLY if shaders are enabled. Which shader doesn't seem to matter, although some shaders will crash Retroarch immediately when they're enabled. FTR I'm using either the Game Boy LCD shaders or the handheld border shaders on the libretro forums - not sure if those specifically are the problem.

These crashes do not happen on PC with the same shaders enabled, only on Switch. If shaders are DISABLED, no crash occurs, so it's specific to Retroarch on Switch AND the use of shaders. It's also a new issue. I've been able to use the Pokedex with identical shaders in the past without problems.

Unrelatedly (I assume), I've experienced crashes playing Banjo-Kazooie using the N64 core? That's also with shaders enabled. I have so far not experienced crashes playing Earthbound on the SNES9X core, again with shaders enabled.
