There has been a safe way to use retroarch online since emunand has existed.
Use it on an Emummc/Emunand with incognito installed. Its a tad more failsafe than 90dns and wont hinder your download speeds.
For online games/eshop use sysnand.

Can you use icognito just on emunand?
Can you please post a link?

thx

Of course you can.... literally the entire point of emunand is the things you perform on it DO NOT affect your Nand.
If your emunand gets banned it shares the same serial as your nand so your banned on both.
Thats where incognito comes in.
If you read through the incognito forum you can find 100 posts yourself. But here is video proof of it just installing on the emunand.

has anyone tried the build in netplay function?
My switch crashes and shows an SXOS error screen.
Have the latest switch FW installed and latest retroarch 1.9.0.

I also noticed small framedrops when playing nes.
Or is this caused because the FCEUmm core?

I have a problem with retroarch paylist, when I exit a game , instead to go back to playlist retroarch goes to main menu. Have someone the same problem? I'm using the latest version of retroarch.

Anyone else having issues with N64 emulation not giving them any audio? I've tried the latest stable release and two nightly versions of mupen64plus-next and both builds had no audio output. Tried changing the audio driver from switch_thread to the other options as well but still no dice

The Mupen core has audio with the stable 1.9.0 release.
Nightly doesn't work right now.

That would be Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 and is as good as i could get so far, about Trilogy?
Oh yeah, these titles always confuse me. I think you can play Trilogy by emulating the N64. I never tested it myself, but as far as I'm aware Trilogy is not a problematic game. If that's bad, you can always try the PSX version.
