nice.. hopefully there will be USB storage support added soon so larger ROMs and ISO images can be easily loaded / played.
The ISO images are small enough to be transferred very fast between USB device and SD card.

Why would you use USB storage anyway when you lose access to it when you take the Nintendo Switch out of the dock?

I don't believe ISO images can be seen by the Switch when on the usb device, so I don't think you can just transfer them from usb device to sd card. Unless NX Shell can see it but I don't think so.

Also I'm probably in the minority but I don't take my Switch out of the dock ever. I only game at home.

are you aware that the USB port is still active when you're not in the dock? Also that you can use USB sticks if a USB 2.5" hdd is too physically large for you to carry?

I took a 2TB USB HDD loaded with various media on a 2 week cruise and used the USB HDD nightly for games and movies. SX OS has native USB storage device support, it's a pity that will not be integrated into retroarch.

Same, the Switch is just a handheld for me. There are other options with more grunt for TV gaming, the Switch is all about the portability.

I couldn't agree more! I have a HTPC that I built for gaming/movies/streaming etc. for when I'm home. And I've got the Switch for gaming when I'm not home. Although I do still use my Switch in Docked mode when I'm home to play certain titles like Zelda, Mario etc. But yeah the Switch is definitely all about the portability IMO. ESPECIALLY now with having RetroArch on board.

I love when I get into gaming conversations with some people and they're so closed minded that they restrict themselves to playing on only ONE CONSOLE! They're either PC/PS4/Xbox/Nintendo. Fuck all that, I have ALL of them and honestly I NEVER play my Xbox or PS4! I mean why would I degrade myself to playing on those consoles when I can play the same games on my PC with amazing graphics? And the only reason I usually ever buy Nintendo stuff is to continue enjoying all the games that I loved and played as a kid, Mario, Zelda etc. But with the Switch it's different because it really is an amazing little console. ESPECIALLY since it haz CFW now.

Yeah totally an everything gamer myself in terms of docked or not to me it is about the seemless merging of both that i love the switch for. Now retroarch makes it even more awesome. I recently beath death from castlevania nes while waiting for a friend outside the dollar store. Which is pretty dang amazing. That took me 30 years to accomplish lol! Then i went home and got owned by dracula on the big screen! I am meeting so many people cause of the old school sounds my switch makes they just walk up to me and go wait but that is...insert retro game here but how??

I never use docked, just like the Wii U I love being able to sit on the couch or in bed with the screen in my hands

You NEVER use docked? You must not own a very big TV then. I mean don't get me wrong, I like to play in bed before I go to sleep, but normally if I'm home and I wanna play on the Switch, you better believe that my 70" TV has priority over the little 6" Switch screen!

As a 4K 70" SmarthTV owner I play docked when I can, I know there are better ways for TV gaming than the Switch, but I use the Switch as my main home/handheld console for convenience, and I must to say the Switch is as good as a home console as it is as handheld, that is my opinión :)

Yeah it's a GREAT home console, for playing Nintendo games. But once you start getting into other AAA title games like GTA, Tomb Raider, Far Cry etc. that are a LOT more demanding, that's when you've gotta step it up to something more suitable, like a PC! But then again some people would argue that a PS4 or Xbox is more than enough. To which I respond by saying that some people just easier to satisfy than others.

PC masterrace for higher and more stable frame rates etc but some of that digital foundry comparison stuff, with my poor visual acuity, i can’t tell much diff between Switch and high end PC rig lol
So not just a case of being more easily satisfied, if your eyes are on the wain, little point shelling a few grand on a decent gaming pc

You're placing yourself in a situation that doesn't apply to you though. I'm talking about all things equal here. Obviously if you can barely see then of course you don't care about super detailed visuals. That's like a person who can't walk saying that automobiles are useless.

Loving the psp emulator ur a true god of mod. I'm just curious as any games that require entering txt is not showing txt boxes
