I updated retroarch to the latest available version (the official NSP and nightly retroarch directory) then I updated the assets through the application, Uppdating the assets made retroarch cras at "extracting 100%". After this I opened the application. It started fine and ozone is working.

However.. Now I tried launching up some PS1 games and im having performance issues. Final Fantasy VII has major video stuttering issues, it does not affect the sound and it seams to only happen when you are not in battle and not all the time. It's like when you come to a new area it works fine for a few seconds and then the fps drops and sometimes the screen is completely frozen for a second or two. and after that the game moves on. I also tried Final Fantasy VIII with similar result. Worth noting is that it does not happen in battles in this game either.

I did not have these issues before..

Threaded video is on and I'm using default shaders.

Anyone have an idea whats going on here?

(UPDATE)
Ok so I got it sorted out (Sort of).
I downgraded RetroArch to the latest stable version and all those problems wen't away. I guess the latest Nightly does something that affects the performance.

I've just tried to play crash bandicoot as a test and have run into the same problem. I get a message saying I need to install the PSP PS1 Bios. Does anyone know where I can get this and where I need to put it? On the latest retroarch nsp version

I've been having some issue with getting roms to appear. Everytime i copy roms to the SD card, the folder they're in no longer appears in RetroArch. Scanning the directory does nothing. Browsing the sd card using the file browser NX-Shell, the folder i've placed the games in has a size of '0 bytes'. However, when I open browse the sd card on my mac, the files/folders all appear as normal. Has anyone else experienced this?

Okay.. I tried saving a SNES game, and perhaps I did it wrong, or I'm confused.

But arn't I supposed to save in the game, then hit home and push X to close Retroarch to force the game to save?

I'm using the NSP version on 6.0.1 ReiNX.

You're using an exFAT formatted SD card. Format to FAT32 and reinstall.

You have to Close Content in order to get it to save.

Same here. I tried to many isos, cue, bins and all of them stuck at ubisoft logo.

RA in Horizon does not yet support PS1 titles with more than 5 .bin files.

Your problems are absolutely related to your .cfg files, not the version of RA. The core is the same

Opening .pbp content causes my Switch to crash (error 2162-0002). Do I need to take any extra steps in order to get pbp working? I tried 3 pbps and all of them crash.

Cfw: Latest SX OS
Firmware: 6.0.1
