Caution: Pokemon Games Crashes after Intro idk a fix for it yet.

also i didnt try this version so please test it and report.

Too bad, just wanted to play some Pokemon Red. :(

Does someone mind giving me their working compiled VBA? Every time I try to save Pokémon Emerald, my console just crashes :(
EDIT: nevermind, just updated to one in OP and it’s 200x better

If you remove the SD, the Switch loses the HBL?

I ask because I removed it and the console asked me for shutting it down, so when I turned it up, there wasn't any HBL in the Album section. lol

Also, my games don't save (RetroArch)...

Greetings, and thanks in advanced.

Yeah, you have to keep the SD card in if you want to use home brew. And every time you restart your system, you have to do the wifi glitch thing and click run

This is descending into chaos quickly again. Please dont use this as you own "I know nothing, get me up to speed" thread.

All you should have to know is in the first posting. So are compiled versions of all the working cores so far. Sometimes - for a short period of time, there are newer compiles in the latest postings.

If you ask questions, please use fully formulated sentences, mostly. How about multiplayer == how about sticky midsummer evenings? Is it possible == I know nothing about it, hit me up with an answer. What is best == you do the thinking.

My games dont save, after about three threads yesterday on what cores exactly have working savesupport implemented == lazy.
In what folder should I - after a tirade, that smartphone users believe in the magical property of folders, and mostly try to share entirely insane hearsay under the label "what worked for me" - after having dissected this two days ago is an insult...

Dont act like you could take over this thread and use it for your own support purposes anytime you want. Dont just drop a question, and wait for others to fill in all the blanks. Try to get a theoretical understanding of the concepts first, before you decide to use stuff. (Homebrew didnt work, once I removed the SD card == thinking didnt work, once I removed brain...)

People talking over each other what they think works, and doesnt - and what they wanted to play but cant - becaue emulator doesnt exist, gets tired fast.

Read and try things suggested, before you decide to post your very own "help me" posting. If you need assistance, try to ask questions that show some basic understanding of the matter - dont just open up with non-sequiturs about "is it possible, does it work, ..." that lead straight into personal requests of assistance - basically try to behave yourself as if you were not a young child anymore, and can figure out some stuff on your own.

Then if you have to ask - ask.

The last two pages in here are extremely hard to parse because of basically four people deciding at once - "hey I could haz them helps me out!" And the stuff that was asked, mostly is answered in here, jut a few postings prior. The less threadjacking for personal "teach me the basics" is going on, the more useful this thread will prove over the mid and long term, to more people than just the ones asking for assistance, one case at a time.

Also please, use full sentences - when asking questions.

Appletrees - how about them?! Doesnt qualify. ;)

As far as the multiplayer is concerned, no and too early. Eventually it will be possible in games that support local mutliplayer (this will probably take a while - multi controller mappings probably isnt the highest priority, while trying to figure out if cores run stable), if you are talking about systems that have multiplayer via a form of systemlink - Retroarch has potential implementations there as well - but those working lies even further down the road.

I suggest the op point out where the core on the front page from where then people can be on track faster due to many people try the new build and report the issue or how to solve the problem very quick.this thread is growing so fast and it’s a little tired to read from front to end
============
For now I notice that the config for retroarch itself doesn’t save.
I usually put all my bios in /Retroarch/system
For now I think I need to set it up every time I launch it well not a big deal since for now only the famicom disk system actually need bios(maybe vba too?im not sure cause every time I just set it to my folder [emoji14])
Now snes vba fceumm are stable(for me at least [emoji14]) wait for the dev to improve other core
Very good work guys! All of you are awesome

Tested some roms world of illusions works pico 1.70 and sonic crackers proto too. Same 1.71 md roms working but not sega-cd

Updated my nros and now they refuse to see my unzipped games. Only pfba continues playing etc. Any ideas/help please?

I tried the new compiled SNES and VBA cores and they run so much better than my first SNES test. I played chrono trigger again without any crashes, saving works without any problem. Also pokemon emerald is saving just fine, and the VBA core is in full screen (without stretch)! I wonder when the SNES core is able to fit the screen a bit more.

Even so, the games are playable now, so I started a new game in chrono trigger. Things like controller support, screen size adjusting and save states would be nice, but it boots and plays without any trouble. Amazing progress.
Thanks guys!

my work here is done , we cant port newer generation emulators because we dont have aarch64 dynarec and no open gl
Picodrive still crashes on Sega CD games (tested with Snatcher). Earlier builds didn't. Green light on Genesis games working was given a little early. ;)

If you cant track this one down (/bring to the attention of the maintainer), Id understand. ;)

If you need further testing (more Sega CD games crashing on boot), just say so - and I'll get on it. :)

edit: Sega CD needs bios, I mention it here in case its connected to the bug.
