Hey all,

So I spent quite some time setting up snes rom names to match the names of the provided image set from libretro.

I already have my nes collection scanned and appearing as a separate column. with the images for each rom.

I went through the exact same steps for the snes games, but no success.

First issue I noticed was, while it was scanning the directory, it seemed to read the amount of roms incorrectly, displaying a much larger number than there actually was. When finished scanning nothing appeared. no new column of games. Also it seemed to take less time then it did the nes roms... I gss cuz it didn't actually process the roms...

I'm going to try it with roms guaranteed to be no intro, but I find it must be impossible that not a single rom was detected as being legit from the database....

Any tips/advice appreciated. Thanks!

Yeah I'm on the libretro forum now. And basically what I've sussed is that the PS3 version of Retroarch leaves much to be desired with functionalities such as scanning directories (beyond nes games), and netplay and such, not actually working, nor ever working on a previous build.... I gss the PS3 was always famous for being a pain for devs....

But the good news is, it is possible to make a playlist for snes games (what scanning the directory is supposed to do), and other consoles I assume, by using a pc app called Playlist Buddy. You make the playlist using this app, then edit the resulting .lpl file, using a text editor like Text Monkey, to change the directory of each rom to match the PS3's SNES rom directory. (Easily done using the replace function)

Once you've moved the .lpl file into the PS3's Retroarch playlist folder, if you've done everything correctly, a new column of SNES games appears. (YAY)
