Core Build for FBA CPS2 is v0.2.97.28
Have to be Zip
Finding the right RomSet is being a pain as current RomSet is 0.2.97.36 . Some Roms might be missing some components. Dont know why these different Emulators insist on different ways of making their Roms.
Also, would be best if there is something missing in a Rom, the Emu frees up what it was trying to load and return to the Main Screen. Have to force Shut Down every time.
avsp: Not Working. Same result as ssf2. After it loads, it Locks Up

Should stick with the more Simple CPS1 Emu first until CPS2 and NeoGeo can be figured out
So what romset version is supported by retroarch? maybe somebody should make a working 3ds romset and park them on that iso site :p

Well why on the iso site? Well is abandonware allowed to posted and uploaded here?

Roms aren't abandonware and I haven't seen anything listed as abandonware that wasn't from an extremely defunct company in a long time.

Oh, i thought neogeo is abandonware? No more games are being made for it, but the company that made it still operates?

I just thought of something. I remember reading that on an old 3DS, games such as Super Smash Bros. use a "high power" mode, where it shuts down absolutely everything except for the game, to utilize the additional resources with the trade-off that you have to fully reboot the system afterwards. Would it be hypothetically possible to do the same thing on a New 3DS, for added resources on top of what's already there?

You mean extended memory mode, and nope it just clears the ram on o3ds to allow smash bros to run, n3ds does not need to reboot to load extended memory mode as it has the sufficient memory, it does not add resources on a o3ds, it just clears the system ram

Has to be FBA v0.2.97.28

I was thinking... Why not MAME for 3ds? Then i won't need my arcade cabinet anymore
Would be awesome. But someone said a while back ago that MAME would demand too much RAM. Would have to be 0.71 Build

Has RetroArch thought of Emulating NeoGeoCD?

CPS2:

[megaman2] - "Megaman 2 - The Power Fighters" works great, sound is also great (N3DS XL)
[1944] - "1944" freezes with an error
[gigawing] - "Gigawing" freezes with the same error:

Code:
- RetroArch [INFO] :: [CPUID]: Features:
- RetroArch [INFO] :: [CPUID]: Features:
- RetroArch [INFO] :: null: [sdmc:/retroarch/content_history.lpl]
- RetroArch [ERROR] :: cannot push NULL or empty core info into the playlist

(And that's all CPS2 roms i have to try :/ )

You really have to stop this kernel this and kernel that for higher than 9.2. I think everyone gets your point and there is a thread for it as you know. So please keep that to a single thread and not derail others who might misunderstand what you wrote. Like others have said just get a <9.2 3ds and you can enjoy whatever you want.

I'm shaking. CPS2 on the 3ds. Hopefully the compatibility will rise.

I know on the Wii retroarch had split the cores to do CPS1, CPS2 and Neo Geo to increase compatibility.

Another game that seems to work is Capcom Sports Club, so I think all the games that have been reported working so far are:
  • csclub (Capcom Sports Club)
  • megaman2 (Mega Man: The Power Fighters)
  • sfa (Street Fighter Alpha)
  • spf2t (Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo)
All these games are about 7MB or under zipped, so you might want to draw some conclusions based on that and try running other small games.
