i'm getting an absolute buttload of errors on the bottom screen when running ROMS...is this...normal?
Genesis Plus itself doesn't support the 32X so no surprise it doesn't work!
Picodrive does support it, though. I tried Virtua Racing Deluxe and it runs at a mighty 12-15fps in races on my N3DS! No surprise because the 32X is a complicated piece of hardware and most emulation efforts are not very optimised.
Yes, they still load fine.i'm getting an absolute buttload of errors on the bottom screen when running ROMS...is this...normal?
The 3dsx of Picodrive has always been broken. Only the CIA for it works.Bringing this up again, how exactly do you get the Picodrive core to work? I own a New 3DS XL (US) running at firmware version 9.9, yet every time I try to launch a ROM from Picodrive (regardless of what system it's for), Picodrive completely crashes on my end. I have to force shut down my 3DS afterwards.
Is there something I'm missing? I've tried launching it via Ironhax and Yellow8's browserhax, and both achieve the same result. The last thing the touch screen says is "Environ SET_DISK_CONTROL_INTERFACE", but I'm not quite sure what that means. Genesis Plus GX works completely fine, but I'd kind of like to see how Knuckles Chaotix runs on Picodrive.
Any ideas?

Same here. Can even run a few LightGun Games, even got Cruis'n USA/World working yet slow on my Shield Portable using the MAME4Droid. List of LightGun GamesWoot, FBA libretro and MAME libretro work perfect in my shield portable.

so I was playing around with RetroARch CatSFC and I found that it can recognize the N3DS analog sticks...I had a bit of issues getting the left one to register but the small nub works but it's INVERTED. also I would like to use the left one preferrably...anyone had better luck?
I had already reported to this earlier; it should be fixed in the next nightly or so if Aliaspider is able to address it as promised.
also I noticed that the left analog stick goes down only if I press LIGHTLY down on the stick, if I press all the way it for some reason goes up ._<
...You mean "Press up all the way, it goes down", right? Because the bottommost X-axis is proper; only when pushing UP it mirrors itself.
afraid not. Mine goes up just fine. pressing all the way down forces it up. pressing LIGHTLY down will make it go down (on the left analog)...
The right smaller analog nub goes left and right just fine. pressing all the way up goes down and all the way down goes up.
It's the opposite with me and the main stick... Forceful up goes down, lightly up goes up. Down is fine.
This however is normal. Seems our friendly neighborhood Aliaspidey got the axis off on the right stick. But then again... it's a C-stick.
Maybe when the PrBoom and Quake cores get ported this may be an issue, but at the moment... eh.

ohhh just mentioning about Quake is getting me excited. Haven't played Quake II since DrunkenCoders port. And nothing has been updated for newer hardware since
Quake 2 would work fine on the 3DS. How much ram do you think we have? Lol.Haven't played Quake II since... err... a week ago on Android.
But I almost doubt Quake II's doability due to memory constraints. Definitely Quake I, but II...?
Then again, considering original memory "requirements" from the initial release, I SUPPOSE it can be worked out somehow.

Quake II was playable with a supercard SD (requires slot 2 older NDS. for "memory purposes") and it worked VERY well for older DS hardware. I'm sure the 3DS has surpassed any memory requirements that the Slot 2 device may have needed
