Genesis Plus itself doesn't support the 32X so no surprise it doesn't work! :)

Picodrive does support it, though. I tried Virtua Racing Deluxe and it runs at a mighty 12-15fps in races on my N3DS! No surprise because the 32X is a complicated piece of hardware and most emulation efforts are not very optimised.

Bringing this up again, how exactly do you get the Picodrive core to work? I own a New 3DS XL (US) running at firmware version 9.9, yet every time I try to launch a ROM from Picodrive (regardless of what system it's for), Picodrive completely crashes on my end. I have to force shut down my 3DS afterwards.

Is there something I'm missing? I've tried launching it via Ironhax and Yellow8's browserhax, and both achieve the same result. The last thing the touch screen says is "Environ SET_DISK_CONTROL_INTERFACE", but I'm not quite sure what that means. Genesis Plus GX works completely fine, but I'd kind of like to see how Knuckles Chaotix runs on Picodrive.

Any ideas?

i'm getting an absolute buttload of errors on the bottom screen when running ROMS...is this...normal?
Yes, they still load fine.

The 3dsx of Picodrive has always been broken. Only the CIA for it works.

Ah well. Thank you though! I was incredibly puzzled and was wondering why it wasn't working. Not a huge loss anyway since I only wanted to emulate one game on it, and the other emulators preform excellently.

Woot, FBA libretro and MAME libretro work perfect in my shield portable.
Same here. Can even run a few LightGun Games, even got Cruis'n USA/World working yet slow on my Shield Portable using the MAME4Droid. List of LightGun Games
Area 51 and Maximum Force ( A51 Single and Duo)
Deer Hunting USA V4.3
Lethal Enforcers 1 and 2
Revolution X
Time Crisis
and Turkey Hunting USA

If possible what MAME could possibly work under the N3DS?

Reporting an evident improvement about Gambatte latest nightly port on O3DS. Pokemon games (on gb/gbc) are running just very fine now!... But, other games (like F1 World GP gbc) are running slow yet!

MAME4Droid Reloaded here...

Edit 1: Hoorah, that one person from a few pages back was right (Somewhat..)
Savestates still work, but it seems only on CatSFC+ the sound dies. Game still runs, and sound is restored on Content Restart...

For some reason buttons are not working when playing diablo 1 on pcsx rearmed core. Other games work fine.

so I was playing around with RetroARch CatSFC and I found that it can recognize the N3DS analog sticks...I had a bit of issues getting the left one to register but the small nub works but it's INVERTED. also I would like to use the left one preferrably...anyone had better luck?

I had already reported to this earlier; it should be fixed in the next nightly or so if Aliaspider is able to address it as promised.

sweet thanks!

also I noticed that the left analog stick goes down only if I press LIGHTLY down on the stick, if I press all the way it for some reason goes up ._<

...You mean "Press up all the way, it goes down", right? Because the bottommost X-axis is proper; only when pushing UP it mirrors itself.

Edit 1(Thousand): MednafenVB savestates doesn't work it seems, hangs the system.
Also, has anyone by some chance gotten Sega CD to work on Genesis GX? I may have to redownload BIOS and check them again, but from what I initially tried it hangs on load.

Okay, I took another shot at getting backlight control to work, and succeeded this time. gsp::Lcd seems to require some sort of service check patch that most others don't (or at least, that's how it seems to be). If I boot NTR on top of Reinand, then I can turn the bottom screen's backlight on and off as much as I want, with it no longer randomly coming back on (more testing is needed though).

afraid not. Mine goes up just fine. pressing all the way down forces it up. pressing LIGHTLY down will make it go down (on the left analog)
The right smaller analog nub goes left and right just fine. pressing all the way up goes down and all the way down goes up.

It's the opposite with me and the main stick... Forceful up goes down, lightly up goes up. Down is fine.

This however is normal. Seems our friendly neighborhood Aliaspidey got the axis off on the right stick. But then again... it's a C-stick.
Maybe when the PrBoom and Quake cores get ported this may be an issue, but at the moment... eh.

ohhh just mentioning about Quake is getting me excited. Haven't played Quake II since DrunkenCoders port. And nothing has been updated for newer hardware since

Haven't played Quake II since... err... a week ago on Android.
But I almost doubt Quake II's doability due to memory constraints. Definitely Quake I, but II...?
Then again, considering original memory "requirements" from the initial release, I SUPPOSE it can be worked out somehow.

*Derp*

Quake 2 would work fine on the 3DS. How much ram do you think we have? Lol.

Quake II was playable with a supercard SD (requires slot 2 older NDS. for "memory purposes") and it worked VERY well for older DS hardware. I'm sure the 3DS has surpassed any memory requirements that the Slot 2 device may have needed

Then punch me in the face and call me Meiling, I apparently didn't realize that. >.> Then I guess it IS doable.
Whelp, better fix that C-stick then!
