If I remember, I believe the NES cores work and the Genesis ones don't is because the Genesis roms are generally too big for themehax to handle. File size limits. In short, most exploits have a limit to how much space they have to work with, resulting in a crash in the case of a memory overflow.
The video in the OP literally shows Genesis Plus GX loading through Homemenuhax. They all work in it. They also work on Browserhax. It says right in the OP. Please stop spreading misinformation.
It does? It has done for me with NES cores.
They all work fine in homemenuhax. :)

To my knowledge there is no PC-98 core, so we aren't getting TH 1-5 on Retroarch unless a core is made.

That was what I was getting at;
Seeing a PC98 core would be GREAT. And... totally not just for TH1-5. Nope. Not at all.

/s
Of course, I'd also like to see a few OTHER console cores brought to the main Retroarch project, but again, tis'll take time. I'm just impressed with what we have here now, even on (Again, we're gonna be driving this home till cows run home) software mode. If GPU is ever implemented by release (Or Snapshot, either or...) I'd be right on it.

A small qwerk, particularly for Genesis: Any way for Retroarch to sync the framerate with the ROM region's refresh rate(PAL 50hz or NTSCU/J 60hz), and/or has this been brought up here before? Certainly would help for Genesis since some of my ROMs are for some reason PAL region and are the only way I can play some games in English (Mega Man - The Wily Wars for example).
(Last edit, promise!) Also, where's the toggle in Genesis Plus for the standard or 6-button Genesis pad, if it even exists? Since games like Contra - Hard Corps reads only 3 buttons.

there is an option to limit frame time : settings -->frame throttle -->maximum run speed, and set it to 1x. disabling v-sync might be necessary too.
I didn't test this so it *might* not work in the 3DS version yet.

actually, disabling vsync and enabling audio sync should also do the trick.

Actually, just setting the Maximum Run Speed did exactly the trick; nothing more needed, everything runs fine now! Thanks again!

Edit (I know): Don't know if anyone bothered to try this game, but...
Dragon Ball Z - Super Butouden 2 (Japan) AUDIO runs a tad too fast on CatSFC+. For some reason, it's almost as if it converted the ROM into PAL format and runs it at NTSC framerate despite the fact the Log KNOWS it's NTSC, and thus the audio itself is "skippy", but the game itself runs at proper framerate. I tried with both Initial and Rev. 1 ROMs of the game, both exhibit the same issue, but neither Butouden 1 or 3 have these issues (They're both perfect in fact!).
(And on a side note, the French version, while running at the proper framerate, has a major background flickering issue when the screens split. This is also on the PSP SNES9xtyl, which is why I prefer the Japan rom.)

Just thought I'd report.
(And in case anyone doesn't know, my reports are all on N3DS)

I apologize because I know most people don't like playing the Sega Saturn, but isn't there a SS core for retroarch? And is that being ported at all to the 3DS? I know I speak for a minority, but the SS had some of my absolute favorite games on any system, and I am very aware how difficult the system is to emulate; I am just curious!
I'm a massive Saturn fan as well. But the only core is Yabuse. It might be portable - it was ported to the Wii, it it's not a very developed core at the moment. SSF is the best option on the PC and that's closed source.

picrodrive actually has a dyranec for the svp, which I didn't hook up yet. it probably will run fullspeed
That would be great. :D

Osaka is our goddess, the one and only, and Kiyohiko Azuma her prophet

Funnily enough I work in Osaka and most people I know do sound like the stereotype of Osakans portrayed in Azumanga Daioh, and not so much like Osaka herself!

Well hopefully there can be more Cores Ported to the 3DS/N3DS. I agree Saturn has some cool Games. But I am just hoping for one Core in particular. But I dont think the Dev will attempt it because everyone says it cant work or will barely work.

Seriously? They're gonna let that stop them?

Well it can't. The 3DS isn't fast enough to emulate the Saturn. At least not anywhere near playable.

Don't know if anyone was curious about sega 32x emulation so i tried knuckles chaotix. It runs on picodrive but it runs even slower then sega genesis games. Genesis plus gx was not able to read the .32x file extension so i could not test it on there. Might be some luck for n3ds owners to have full speed 32x emulation.

Tested with o3dsxl 4.2sysnand with 9.9 gateway emunand using .cia version of the emulators.

Out of curiosity, the CPS3 Roms wouldnt be able run would it? I looked at the File Size for SFIII, and it is 37MB, SFIII2 is 41.7MB. It is possible they MIGHT run, but who knows. SFIII3 wouldnt be possible since it is 67.3MB. But for the first 2, possible? Or would the N3DS not be enough to run them?

Also, can the Dev add Core Button Remapping to FBA CPS1 and NeoGeo please?

Played a bit of Bomberman '94 on the pce core, runs great. I had one horizontal line of junk pixels under the screen image, like it's displaying one more line than the game intended, any workaround for that? Sometimes I see a similar line above the image in catsfc actually.

Quicknes does on old models. While you may not want to read the mess in this thread there are valuable information in it. But do not be lazy as you can always load the cores and test yourself. What others may deem as a hinderance to play you might not think so.
