Homebrew Retroarch Emulation Thread (Nightly Builds Included)

I'm playing with dosbox. I'm thinking about doing some music in the classic Fasttracker II. But I don't know what to do. I choose the exe file. Then it starts loading. Then stuck on this. Do we have to rebind the buttons? Are there any keyboard support in dosbox 3ds?

Yes it does run good, it's CPS2.

When I put the files in the 3DS folder it doesn't appear in Hombrew.

You need a CIA installer like FBIA, Big Blue Menu, Dev Menu or something similar.
Get FBI and install the FBI app to the emunand and afterwards install your RA CIAs by opening up FBI from the emunand.

I downloaded Emunand and FBI, but how do I use them?

I think you've got some work to do here...... since you don't know about cia files up to now, I'm guessing you won't know about the whole downgrading 3DS, emunand and so on. You'll need to downgrade your 3DS to 9.2, then create an emunand, then you can muck about with the cia versions of retroarch. Visit the 3DS tutorial section of this forum for more information - no point trying to help you on this thread with that, it's well covered over in the tutorials

I might as just give up because my system is 10.5, and I can't find any downloads for hardmod. Unless I find a download for hardmod, I'm out of luck... Thank you all for helping.

New3ds, 9.2 reinand, .cia version.
When trying to load content on both catsfc and pcsx app crashes and forces a reboot, ive tried multiple times and this keeps happening, did I do something wrong?
I renamed scph7003.bin to scph5501.bin as a trouble shooting guide said to do If you couldn't find 5501

Just google the file name, we cant link the bios here. I googled it and got all the bios I needed.

I have the BIOS. And yes, I am aware we can't link to them! (I know these things already) But I looked at the OP and it just said that the cores require a BIOS, and I just thought they'd be two seperate things.

Every nightly builds fail to run only the stable 1.3.0 runs flawless gpsp and gambette run full speed with sound that includes custom rom hacks as well but when I switched to ANY nightly (trust me I've had them all -_-) it crashes saying audio error ... Just stick to stable -_-

I'm incredibly amazed at how close to very very very good the PSX emulator is. I tried Final Fantasy Tactics and Legend of Mana (N3DS 9.2 emunand, CIA), both without sound, and they are very very close to perfect. Rayman is almost flawless but as it has been mentioned before, the music doesn't play. So, this is a dumb question which has probably been covered already (I'm terrible at lurking) but are there any ways of the PSX emulator being improved? Or is anyone already working on it? This is amazingly promising and yeah, I think we all share the fantasy of playing Chrono Cross on a Nintendo handheld (or maybe that's just me?)

Does Picodrive 1.91 need cia to run Sega 32x games on an old 3ds? And is there a way to download picodrive on my 3ds without Retroarch?

The "cores" are the 3DS executables themselves (i.e. 3dsx, CIA). It's just referred to as such because Retroarch itself is basically a front-end for the emulators used.

Is there a Sega32x emulator for the old 3ds? Picodrive libretro on Retroarch isn't working for me, it always freezes. Is there a way to get Picodrive by itself (withot retroarch) Or is there another 32x emulator that I can use.
