Try to delete the blargSnes config file, I heard that made it work again.
For some reason something happens with the config file and things stop working :/

I tried that once, but it just turned out that the current version (1.3) I had wasn't compatible with hax 2.5, so I had to download 1.3b

I'm having trouble getting config overrides to work. I made the changes to the config I want for quicknes, set the config directory to rgui_config_directory after making that folder on the root, and copied the config to rgui_config_directory/quicknes/quicknes.cfg. But it's not working. What am I doing wrong?

All I really want to do is define my file browser directory, aspect ratio, controls and filter setting per core.

Not to mention the Devs probably have their own separate lives and most are probably looking to spend time with friends and family for the holidays. I wouldn't expect anything significant for a while.

I won't promise anything, but I'm trying to patch RetroArch back up so it'll work with the latest ctrulib and devkitARM (these were updated recently, so RetroArch won't compile out of the box now), then I'll try to see where it went bad after the 9th. Here's to hoping I have some luck.

Edit: Okay, it builds, but it crashes on the red 3ds logo..that's not good. Guess I need to go back a few weeks in the git history and see what build I CAN use to start with..
Edit 2: No luck with a 3dsx version either. I guess I'm rolling back to devkitARM r44. R45 just doesn't work for RetroArch.

Edit 3: Alright, I rolled back to devkitARM r44 for now. The "No Core" problem comes from https://github.com/libretro/RetroArch/commit/746b7dde7310227bb4c51e0ce9632ba9080f936d. Reverting that solves the problem, but there could be a bigger bug laying underneath this.

I got a problem.

I have updated my n3DS to 10.3 with ironhax, and also updated to the latest retroarch nightly. But now all retroarch emulators cannot see any of my roms. When I go to 'load content' and select folder where all my games are...its empty.
Other emulators, like blargSNES, work perfectly.

Am I missing something?

edit
SOLVED sort of: I unchecked 'filter by supported extensions' which now shows everything in my game folder. Only problem is that I need to filter through all games now :/

The "no core" issue should be fixed now, but I don't know if the buildbot has been updated to have builds which support the fix or not. I also fixed a typo so it won't say "playloads" anymore, so people shouldn't get confused (it was supposed to be "payload", implying hax 2.x needed to be updated), but that fix isn't merged yet.

Are you saying the no core problem is still present on the latest builds? I'm pretty sure I fixed it yesterday.

Yes i could not get any cores to load using the latest version downloaded a few post back someone mentioned downloading a older version and it now works.

..Are you sure you're using a build from December 22nd, when you mean "latest version"? I literally just downloaded the December 22nd CIA bundle and ran PocketSNES without the No Core problem.

I downloaded the latest 22/12/15 3dsx version but would not load cores.

*Sigh* I'll look into it. I don't understand why the 3dsx builds would have the problem, and not the CIAs. They're compiled from literally the same code.

Edit: PocketSNES 3dsx doesn't exhibit the problem either. What core are you using?

I'm using the CIA set from 11/24. Is there anything that would make it worth updating? I've been playing Tales of Phantasia for PSX, and while it's perfectly playable as-is, it would be nice to speed up the battle transitions and the occasions when the voices start up. It's a bit annoying when the game slows down while the skits play.
