LQ2X filter is just SO AMAZING. On gba with bilinear filtering it's fantastic imo!
I would love to see the dsp audio to work a little bit better, because in some games cnsd driver works better.
- gpsp.cia still have the eeprom error when you want to save.
- Still tearing issues with some games on genesis+dx.cia.
And I would love to be in few month, when pcsx will be more optimized... It's SO PROMISING!
Good job to retroarch team, you don't sell dreams but FACTS! :yay3ds:

Wow, so much hate for GBA VC injection. It isn't so bad, image is a bit washed out but after 100%ing Yoshi's Island and Minish Cap from the Ambassador program - and now playing Circle of the Moon and GT Advance 3 - i still can't notice the infamous blur.

It obviously hasn't all the advantages a Retroarch core can offer, but it's far from terrible.

On vc injection there is no smoothing of the image. The resolution is too high to smooth the jaggies and let's face it- who wants jaggies?? Who wants to play it at native resolution super small too?

I agree- retro arch on n3ds is def the way to go for gba!

I've got a problem with catSFC, I installed the .cia version from the lastest nightly build and when I launch it I've got the bottom screen saying it can't find a retroarch.cfg file in a retroarch folder and stay in this, I must reboot my n3ds to get out. (N3DS 9.5 emuNAND rxTools)

EDIT : Forget this post everything is working now, just relaunched it like 5-6 times ! ^^

Final Fantasy Tactics on PCSX (.cia) on n3ds 9.5 emunand

getting 15-20 fps

anybody else having similar experience. I am hoping that something is wrong on my end, and that this game can run better.

What do you mean? Mine do show
I have them in the proper 3ds folder on my microsd card just like all my other homebrew stuff and literally the only ones that don't show up in Homebrew Channel are the SNES emulators. If somebody could help me figure out why, it would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have this one pocketsnes_libretro ?

That's what I use, and inside you have the .3dsx and .smdh file?

I can't play Super Mario All Star, with Pocketsnes or CATSFC. When I start any of the games, like super mario 3, the controller won't work, and i can't move mario or press any button.

With blargSNES the game works fine.

Anyone experience this problem?

I've been using all the RetroArch cores with integer scaling on and no filters. I'm even doing the same on my PC. I actually prefer that pixelated look. :P

Check the folder name to make sure it's the same as the 3dsx and smdh files. Also, make sure the 3dsx and smdh files aren't corrupted.

Xenogears running at 35fps with sound glitches, aka not playable.

Im starting to think that there isn't anything wrong on my end, emulator just isn't ready yet for these games :(

In CatSFC, you have to go into the Core Options and enable the "swap joypads" option. PocketSNES doesn't have a similar option, though.

Well, that's why there hasn't been a full stable release. When it's ready, there will probably be a stable release soon after.

I finally figured it out.
It appears that the Homebrew Channel does not like certain file names for the folders? So I had to rename pocketsnes_libretro's folder name to something like "pocketsnes" for it to work. But not only that, I didn't know the folder had to have the same name as the .3dsx and .smdh files. So after I did all that renaming, it finally showed up in the Homebrew Channel. I'm not sure why I am the only one that had to rename everything (I don't see anyone else talking about the issue) but it worked. Very strange.

By the way, is it true that the SNES emulators run better when installed a .CIA instead of running them from the Homebrew Channel?
