It doesn't support them? I don't know to be honest. Medanafen PSX requires a lot more horsepower to run, so I use PCSX reARMED. Probably be best to ask Squarepusher or someone else. I can't wait for the N64 Core to be released on Android/IOS. N64oid, while it has good performance, is payware and hasn't been updated in forever. Mupen64 plus AE is also sort of lackluster. Retroarch owned FPSE and ePSXe when it got the PCSX REARMED core. I'm sure it'll be no different with their N64 core. The fact they're waiting for it to be polished tells you something right there. ;)

I know for the Windows port, they already have a beta core you can try out (I think) but it's pretty buggy from what I've been told :P For PSX, the sound emulation is amazing, Square Enix games have 100% correct sounds (ran Chrono Cross). My CPU is plenty fast to handle it, I've a Core i5 3570, so no issues there. Too bad the Wii is too weak to port those emulators for RetroArch  PCSX reARMED, haven't tried that in a long time.

That's awesome man. I was referring to Medanafen being run on my Android device. For example, it gets FPS in the 30s on the NVIDIA Shield. (Which I'd love to own just for this emulator) As for my desktop, I've always ran individual emulators on it. Need to try Retroarch and Medanafen on it. I'm actually playing through Chrono Cross right now, see what audio I'm missing. ;)

Whoops, should have clarified that I was using the PSX core on RetroArch lol.

people.. i get dsi error with retroarch and neogeo roms... the same roms are loaded fine with "old" gxgeo... i have add to system the bios roms (dumped from my neogeo console).

Gxgeo roms won't work. Use Final Burn Alpha roms that match the version number on the bottom of the screen when using the fba_cores_neo.dol. Place neogeo.zip in the same folder as your roms.

How do I config on CPS Games like SF2

Like to change the Dip Switches for how easy the game will be, turn on Demo sound like in MAME ports

Start up a game, go to the RGUI and choose Core Options and switch Diagnostics to Enabled and exit the RGUI. You will now be in the dipswitch menu, make your changes and save and exit. When you are finished playing, quit RetroArch through the RGUI and it will save your configuration.

I did this to turn demo sound on and change difficulty in loads of games like Marvel Super Heroes, Darkstalkers and Street Fighter Alpha 3 etc. Hope this helps!

what gives?
are we gonna get an update soon to play some mame games?

me thinks squarepusher should stop whining  about retroarch ripoffs. surprise! you wanted an retroarch port for Android. Ripoffs and people making money out of it is inevitable on this system.

just my 2cents

Until the RA team resolve or at least minimize/alleviate the control issue with RA-Wii there will be no more updates! He made that pretty clear. I know there are a few people helping with the issue, so I hope they find a solution, commit and release by year end. Keeping my fingers crossed XD

What is the best choice for a directory structure for RA?
ROOT>RA>N64
>NES
>SNES
>PS1
>etc.... etc....

???

what control issues. never notice that before?

At unknown intervals the dpad control can "hang" resulting in automatic character movement and gui scrolling.
It's most noticable when using a Classic controller pro.

Shouldn't this thread be closed until then? I mean, or at least a note be made in the OP?

Mr. DJ, it is not really a all in one package.

The emulators used by retroarch are the same as the ones you use when you use them separately..only difference is that the emulators are better optimized. The retroarch app only takes care of the connection to the emulators.

I never tried it but you prolly still can start the emulators in the retroarch folder without using retroarch itself.

is this better than vba gx? does it have RTC for games like pokemon crystal?
