djtaz said:I think this is a good effort on the side of Vidboy to help out the community with something but i think in his excitement and youth he has failed to see the dangers of this.
I dont think he has any malice in his intentions and does genuinely want to release something that will help the community , but he has inadvertantly released something that is
1. Illegal to link to and wont be allowed on this site as it breaches copyrights.
2. Is not as stable as the name makes it sound
3. Could potentially brick a wii as opposed to fixing it if used incorrectly by noobs
4. This is available for quite a while in seperate packages just never bundled - but it hasnt been bundled previosuly because of the issues it can potentially cause.
5. Still requires pre-requisits for this to run so will not recover a full brick as stated just a partial brick
I can see he is still trying to help out with this and i think he should be given a little bit of slack and not as much abuse. People should try to guide him in the right direction for the future and not completely bash his efforts as he is trying to help but his direction on this project was just a little off.
Well done on the effort vidboy , but for your own sake and the sake of others i think you should keep this more of a low profile project and maybe keep an eye out for another niche in the homebrew market where you can make a more appreciated input in the future.

Im sorry, but thats just not good enough of an excuse.Vidboy10 said:Thanks redia.
If anybody whines in there post's they will be ignored.

I see what your saying there. so your saying that people think that the wad may not work on some wii's and don't want to brick there wii's even more?wiiman123 said:Ok... well just saying it has been tested is nice. BUT not good enough for some. Being vague about the contents, the process, and the risks & requirements only raises more questions then it answers.
Be technically specific.
Its like when a internet company says, get super duper fast internet. That doesn't mean shit to me. I want to hear get 10Mbit internet.

Its not whining vidboy, it making sure you aren't releasing a bricking tool.
Without proper documentation, proper proof, proper tutorials, and CLEARLY highlighted risks and requirements, tools like this shouldn't be released, until proven working and safe.
It might be your hard work, but it just as well may turn out to be anothers new $250 paper weight wii, if people don't "whine" and question your unproven release.

@wiiman123
good lord, give him a break. he got everyone's point.. and I am pretty sure he won't do it again.
he made what is called an honest mistake.
I understand your point and I tend to agree with you.. but he did not mean no harm so no need to shoot him
1 page of blaming is good enough.. I am sure he got it right. give it up.
now he clarified what his wad is for.
he also clarified what is in his wad.
party is over.. leave him alone, he's 12 for god's sake... how do you expect him to understand the depth of all that.
instead of blaming him, you should consider mentoring him.
I know his wad is far from perfect.
but he has understood the principle of the system
now he needs to learn on the impact... what works for a specific wii, with specific problem or requirement, may not be the solution for everyone.
now, please.. I beg you.. give him some room to breath.
if you want to keep on hitting on someone take me as a target.. my contribution to the scene is so insignificant that I deserve it.
