Hi,

I am on 4.3 and I want my old 4.2 install back with the Trucha etc. restored. No guides have worked so far. I thought why not restore my NAND backup I made earlier? Right? Wrong.
'This dump is from a different Wii' and it is NOT.
And yes I've searched and neither the terminal commands (I am on a mac) nor the BootMii fix .exe (ran it in Parrallels on my mac on Windows) fix it. RestoreMii will still not accept the old NAND file.

So now what?! (The 4.3 guide won't work for me because it won't let me downgrade IOS15) so I am left with a Nintendo 4.3 without a Trucha for now and no vulnerabilities?
And here I was under the impression that making a NAND backup would save me from this. It does not work. Great. I am not amused and in need of some serious help here.
PS: Am on a mac but can run Windows XP SP3 through Parrallels. ANY help to fix my Wii is very much appreciated.

Crap I screwed up. I patched the file, which I wasn't supposed to do.
Now if I rerun the IOS236 installer I get a code dump (even after powering down and restarting the Wii).

I am SO sorry I sound like a total noob I know but can you help me out?!

I installed IOS236. It asked me to install yes or no. I pressed Yes.
Then it asked me if it should patch the file. I was supposed to say no. I accidentally said yes.
Now the same installer (I figured I'd reinstall) will code dump on me.

Syschec hangs by the way. It wont work.

MMM won't work (anything will result in an error: like removing stubs)
IOS58 I dont think I need to install as I am on an official 4.3 that has 58 in it and the HBC uses it: so it's there right? Or do you want me to reinstall?
Dop Mii I will try but I remember it didnt work because my system has no vulnerable IOS at the moment. This is why I wanted to downgrade to restore the trucha in 36/and why I installed 236 (which I seemed to have screwed up somehow: I thought a reinstall would fix that but the installer code dumps).

All I need is a trucha so I can remove stubs and reinstall 249 and go from there. But nothing works. My God what happened to my Wii? It used to be perfect until 4.3 arrived. Sheesh Nintendo. Grrrr!

What does mean "won't work'? Won't run? Crashes? Exactly where?

You need to run it and tell if it crashes just after launch. This applies to all apps I mentioned.

Same as above. DOP-Mii allows You to list installed IOSes and also show their patches if any.

Saying that more times won't make things magically happen.

- I have the Korean 41 one (I installed it for Trucha Bug Restorer)
- I have the downgraded IOS15 (I installed it for Trucha Bug Restorer)
- Reloading TBR to IOS15 crashes. Always. I must have tried it over thirty times to restore the IOS36 Trucha. This is why I resorted to installing the 236 IOS. But I screwed that up.
- Am I correct in assuming my IOS250 survived the 4.3 update and is still Waninkoko's 250?!

What do I do now?

Read my posts again and understand them.
If You cannot read, don't worry. Smashdude will help You.
Also. Reinstall HBC and try IOS236 again.
Last resort is to restore NAND backup.

[EDIT] solved.
TBR restored the Trucha Bug for me.
NO idea why but all is back to normal now. HBC works (right side up), 36 is patched, 15 is restored, 41 is deleted since there is no need for it anymore and 249rev20 is installed with 56 v5661 as base IOS and 250rev20 is installed with 37 v5662 as base IOS.

I'm fine now right? All homebrew and installers should once again work.

That's because You have magically enhanced wii and You are chosen one (aka special).

And You didn't tell that HBC was upside down in first place?

You are fine as long as You won't touch IOSes again.
