Hacking Restore SysNAND on N3DS using GW possible?

Just want to ask, something about systemNAND

i have a o3ds and n3ds...
if we press-hold "UP" while we're on "DownGrade" option on GateWay menu brings us to "Restore sysNAND"

i tried restoring sysNAND on o3ds from NAND.bin backup using GateWay.
just want to ask if this option is also possible for n3DS?
im just afraid to try...
