I used an vpk (vsoi) to replace the NEAR application with Vitashell (which sounded like a good idea and perhaps still is?)
Just to be sure that if my memorycard gives up on me, I have a simple entry point on my internal memory.

However I feel like having the Vita as original as possible (strange as it is softmodded)... so
1. is there a way to restore the original NEAR application AND
2. use 'app Manager plus' to move the Vitashell to internal memory?

As I did run the vsoi VPK more then 1 time so I am afraid that the backup of NEAR is also VitaShell.
I do have a VitaTV so I can extract the NEAR application from that device (it is said it is there but doesn't show up on live area) but I need some pointers on how to proceed.

Erm, I know it's been two years, but I've just seen this and uh, might help someone who runs into the same issue.
If you want to get the original Near eboot from a different system, you should find it at vs0:app/NPXS10000/eboot.bin .
Replace this file on the original system with Near's original eboot. Writing to this partition will require you to use VitaRW to mount it as RW first, however, so make sure you do that or you won't be able to move the file there.
