Hacking [REQUEST] R4ids.cn card firmware backup.bin + kernel

UPDATE 3: Currently I'm using this backup. I forgot who I got it from.

This was the latest version I could get that worked on my card. You'll have to rename it depending on the version of flasher you use.

UPDATE: A backup from another thread fixed it. I guess the link is dead.

I got a R4i 3DS Revolution for DS from r4ids.cn during DS days. I haven't been able to get this card to work in years. I can't seem to find a kernel that works. Everything pretty much boots to white screens. Since I couldn't get it to work as flash card, I thought I give it try as a NTRBootHax card.

It has Chip ID: 00000FC2, HW Rev: A7A7A7A7, and is detected as R4i Gold 3DS.

I just bricked it messing with NTRBoot Flasher. Does anyone have the backup.bin from NTRBoot Flasher they could share? Or dump one for me? It would be very much appreciated.

Also anyone know which kernel would work with this card as a flash card?

Thanks. It didn't work. Still bricked.

It prevents me from booting with the card inserted using this backup. Also locks the 3DS if I insert it after booting.

Hopefully someone has the same card.

Interesting because i have the same Chip ID and HW rev. and i restored the backup and worked well.

I think several different cards have the same Chip ID and HW Rev, but they might be different internally. I'm trying zoogie's backup now.

I decided to just try the patched one for kicks. It actually worked as NTRBootHax card. It booted a "new" console into SafeB9SInstaller. Thanks.

It's a mystery. I'm not sure why I can't restore this card.

With the card inserted, console off:
LED turns on, but screen stays black. No response to button pushing. Hold down power button to shut off.

Console on and card inserted after home menu loads:
LED stays on, screen stays on, can't recall if music stops. No reponse to button pushing. Hold down power button to shut off.

It stops console from functioning whether the console is on or off.

When I restore my borked backup, the icon stays blank like the other backups, but the console works. It just acts like there is no card inserted into the slot.

And it definitely worked in 3ds before you tried NTR? You may find that even though it boots to a white screen on 3ds, it works fine on DS Lite. I used it as DS cart long time ago in my 3DS. It didn't work on recent firmware. I updated it several times since I got it to get to the Metroid Prime Hunters icon.

Try using a DS Lite or DSi to update using the DSi/XL V1.45 patch (Jan 23 2013 version), that will change it to the Dorasu icon, which should work on the 3ds.

I am trying to do the same thing, but none of the backups that I've downloaded worked for me. My R4 isn't recognized on my DSi or my 2DS (It stopped suddenly, and it is new, I bought it yesterday and it bricked by itself!)

I don't really need it, I am just curious if anything can be done with a non working flashcard to make it work again with restore flash option or something?

Yes, that's exactly what happened to me, with the same R4.
I tried 4 different backups but none has worked.
