On this thanksgiving break I'm going to use my free time to work on something new. Don't worry I am not going to stop my other projects, I am planning on making something small.

So what I need is ideas for my project.

Some guidelines for the requests

  • Try not to make duplicate request, if someone requested it already just like the post
  • If you want to request a port, make sure the source code is available
  • DO NOT request emulators, i am already working on one and also we have plenty of them
  • NO CIAS OR CFW RELATED HOMEBREW
Try to keep the ideas simple, I want to get as much as possible in 4 days. I want start tomorrow and release something no further than sunday night.

Also, feel free to join me on this "not really a game jam" jam. The homebrew community needs to grow

a C compiler with source code editor. simply a IDE - something like visual studio- edit and run your code directly on 3ds!

I have an idea of something that would probably be easy for you and useful for a lot of other people.

Make a template for Visual Studio Community 2015 (or anything else if you don't like that one, that was just an example) that can compile a 3DS project into .3ds, .cia and .3dsx and that does stupid things like print Hello World, move a square on the top screen and move a circle on the bottom screen based on user input.

Basically a program no one would want to run on their 3DS but an awesome template to get any dev started on their project.
Of course too, we can suppose that people already installed dependencies and can follow three easy steps (that it would be great if they were given too) to link these dependencies to their project.

That's something very simple, I'll put that on my todolist

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Just a branch of PCHEX that adds an actual GUI xD
I'm not familiar with that homebrew, but I'll look into it

cool idea. would be great if youll be able to run that file through the thing I requested on 3ds directly.

mainly ppl want "petit computer"- run code written in 3ds and editing it with PC

A drag and drop game creator? Using the touchscreen that could be really fun

You can actually do all that straight from Visual Studio. I have it configured to build and run to Citra and also 3dslink to send and run the built binary on the 3DS.

please translate it to english... I mean some way to write code directly on the 3ds with touch keyboard

Cia I can install and configure to backup all my games save data with one click instead of doing it manually with SDF

Or

Ftp client so I can easily transfer data between 2 3ds (we already have a few servers)

Thanks!

ah and if its not obvious I meant that you should make it 3dsx output whih runs on hax 2.5, that way every1 will be able to use it
