I still need the offsets, but it is working. I can always try deleting it and seeing what happens too, because that would make some games easier to handle.

@Gocario
I'll send it over in a second. Yours doesn't look too much different from mine.

You probably already had this, but you can find most SV offsets for existing games here:
https://github.com/meladroit/svdt/wiki/svdt:-secure-value-data-tweaks?
As the page says, Rumble World is kind of an ordeal, and MH4U is suspected, but not confirmed, to have SVs in place.
I didn't have any luck deleting SVs through SDF to restore my New Leaf save, but that could just be a fluke.
If you can whip up a way to delete SVs, I'd be willing to give it a go and see how it goes.

You can use the same link I sent you earlier and try restoring your save now. I worked on it special, just because I didn't want you to lose your data.

Doesn't seem to work.
I had a look at the SecureValue.dat SDF spits out when exporting SV, and there doesn't seem to be anything in it.
Had to start a new game and restore the old save with the new save's SV, straight from garden.dat.
That's really weird.

The best solution I can come up with at the moment is writing the first 8 bytes from the existing garden.dat to the backup copy before overwriting, and erroring out if garden.dat doesn't exist (Which is possible, since the game initializes an empty save archive at first and doesn't let you save a new town without first doing the tutorial). It's hacky, but it should at LEAST work for the purpose.
Apparently SDF failing to get New Leaf's secure value is a known problem as well.

Do you mind redownloading from the link I sent you and trying again? I added the code Gocario posted for deleting it. It's working on my end for Pokemon and Smash Bros. Tell me how it goes.

It works!
I've cleared and updated my save file several times over and restoring worked every time.

Would you mind sending it to me as well, SVDT is kinda wonky though still works....kinda of.

For lack of something better to do, I made a new banner/icon for the save manager.

Looks something like this on the Home Menu:

It's alright, maybe.
