...and before the mass influx of cheat whiners, 1. I only play offline and 2. I can post a SS of my 3U with HR 740 with a save time of way over 1000 hours. I am a dual blades fucking master.

So no, not everyone abuses cheats, I just like to tinker and I love freedom.

Powersaves lets you change your hunters name. You can verify this by going to their site and clicking on MH4U to see the codes they offer for said title.

Banxian made this tool to rename your hunter and ace palico. just upload your user1 save and edit.

Backtracing with Banxian's Tool:

Offset 0 - 7 is some kind of Checksum
Offset 8 - F is your Hunter's Name
Offset 38 - 3F is your Money
Offset 4B8 - 4C7 is your Comrad's Name

BTW:

Extracting system/user1 is the same as SDF, (Import/Export JP <> US/EU breaks Guild Cards)

That's about the only cheat I'm interested in, I enjoy hunting for materials, but having to grind money up for all the upgrades is kind of bullshit at times. If you can alter your hunter and palico names using the tool, why not money? If it doesn't break checksum that is.

Its possible, you could bug Banxian about this. I would have interest in his tool to fetch my mh4g save with working guild cards and so on (broken after i transfered it to mh4u).
