In testing WiiEngine vs. Hugo, I've found that WE handles layering and sound much better than Hugo and would like to use it as my primary TG16 emu. Unfortunately, Hermes hasn't touched it in nearly two years (I'm sure the cIOSes keep him busy).

Since my coding skills are incomparably weak, I was wondering if some kind soul could work to incorporate Tantric's libwiigui and a more standardized rom/save path into WiiEngine.

Changing the save/rom paths and adding USB2 support (if it already Has USB support) is prosably a work of a few minutes. Adding libWiigui might take several hours and I don't see anyone doing it as long as the app still works.

I support that request, the actual WE interface isn't very friendly =/
Anyway the only games I play on TG16 are Dracula X (which is on VC), Bonks (on VC too), and Pop'n Twinbee, I already give up trying to run CD stuff on WE =(

Bad thread title.

Quote from Tantric:

For your information, using "GX" to distinguish between emulator versions does not
means anything: all emulators have always been using GX hardware from the very first
release, so technically, any emulator port to the Wii/Gamecube is a GX version.
It's just that some misinformed websites thought that term would indicate a major
version update, which it doesn't, emulators have always be named like that.
