Well, I might consider working on Days of Memories 3 and having a text editor would make it easier to translate the game. I've already examined the file structure of the script files and I have information of the script files structure. Here's a list that will basically tell you all about the control codes that the script files use...
Now, I've been able to successfully find the script files, but I still can't find where the names are stored. So I pretty much want this editor to only edit text. So yeah, it would help me out a lot if someone attempted a text editor for this. You will of course, receive credit for making the editor after it's finished.
Also, I wasn't able to successfully find the pointers for the text either.
QUOTE said:7/snr/EV000.sdb - First file in the script
1B - Starts the text box. If used alone after "00", no one's name
will be displayed.
0B0A00 = Ends the line?
1A01 = Displays your characters name, before the message.
Generally "name" bytes are 2 bytes and they always come before the
"1B".
The game has no line skip... So after a certain number of
characters, the game automatically skips the text to the next line.
Sometimes after the "1B" the starts the message box, there will be
"81X" X being a byte that changes. This is used when a character
who's name has been displayed, continues talking for another line.
