Replacing wii u usb

I was thinking can i replace my wii u’s usb 2.0 to a 3.0 off of aliexpress or somthing like that so it can use normal usb to sata for harddrives (i know how to solder so thats not a problem) ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

You could internally bridge the Power lines of both USB ports together, so both share 1A. The alternative would be to bridge over the protection chip
