Hacking Replacing lost SD card

Hello guys..

So out of sheer absentmindedness I lost my O3DS' SD card when I removed it and went out of the house to run errands.

I have B9S installed and Luma v9.0. I will be buying a new SD card (probably with a bigger storage too) as a replacement and would still like to have my CFW in it.

How do I go about having all those folders (luma, gm9, 3ds, etc.) in the new SD card? Do I need to uninstall the CFW first and reinstall it?

Not sure if I'm making sense here but I really need your help.

When I check system settings it still says Sys 11.7.0-40E without the SD card.

Help please.

You never installed "CFW" in the first place; what you installed was an entrypoint (B9S) which just loads boot.firm from the SD (or CTRNAND, that's why your console still boots CFW without the SD)

If you want, you can put a copy of Luma's (or any other CFW's) boot.firm in the SD, etc...
The "finalizing setup" page of Plailect's guide can be followed again as if this was your first time modding the system

Appreciate the help! I thought I'd have to go through the uninstall/reinstall route.

Glad to know I just need to follow the Finalizing Setup step.

Normally, you'd just copy everything from your old memory car to your new one, bu losing the card kinda wrecks that idea.

Q: How do I move to a new SD card at the end of this?
A: Just copy all the files to the new SD card.

For future reference, once you get your new card and have it set up, image your new card (either with Win32IMG for Windows or Carbon Copy Cloner for Mac to make it easy) so you'll have a backup in case another card gets up and walks away. Them little things do like to run away when you're not looking!
