Hardware replaced motherboard

I finished replacing my motherboard and I noticed the piece lying around. I think it mounts somewhere underneath the motherboard but I am not sure. Is it important?

Edit: I guess it would be a bit wiser to edit out the envelope that had my address =P
Edit: all fixed =P
 
It looks like a mounting/riser or back plate for a heat sink (if you have a massive one you probably do not want little plastic spearhead type things causing all sorts of stress on the polyweave board) although I would possibly accuse it being upside down there. There should be a parts list in the manual for it.

Sweet! Thanks for the information, it does mount on the back of the motherboard (near where there is an open gap for the case). Right on with it being upside down
