Hi, I finshed updating my Wii (EU) to the latest software (Firmware 4.1, Cios rev14, HBC 1.03, Cioscorp 3.1)

But there is one thing I never touched: Backup launcher gamma.

Now I heard of Neogamma and would like to know if it is worth to upgrade. And do I have to uninstall Backup launcher gamma first.

At the moment I am launching my Wii-Backups with the normal disc channel (cioscorp). I only use Backup launcher to start my NTSC games (I have a PAL wii).

What do you think guys

Use gecko os to start out of region games if u have cioscorp. Also neogamma is way better than backup launcher so I do reccomend u get rid of old backup launcher. If it a wad unistall it and get the neogamma rev 6 wad and install that.

Thanks for your answer.
Normally I just want to use the disc channel. Only NTSC games wont work with it. So I think I need a backup launcher.
Do I have to expect any problems when uninstalling Backup launcher gamma? (maybe with cioscorp)

Ok, then I first have to figure out what is the difference between Neogamma and Gecko OS.

Um no unistall backup launcher won't do anything to cioscorp. Neogamma is a backup launcher that fixes games with 002 errors and has region fixes. Gecko os is is an app for booting out of region games and it'll will work with backups because u have cioscorp. Gecko os also has ocarina like chaeating functions in it.

What do you mean with "booting games"? Is it a channel which I have to start (like backup launcher). Or is it hidden on the wii and I can start region games with the normal disc channel?

Does gecko os depends on cioscorp?

Sorry for the questions. If you dont want to answer I can understand this. Then I have to manually look for information

U can get gecko os as a channel. It's an app. No it's idependent of cioscorps. It for booting/playing imports

The only way to get region free games with the disc channel is using a preloader hack, or using the rebooter funtion of GeckoOs/BL

If I understand correctly the only difference between neogamma and gecko os is that gecko os is capable of cheating in games?

So what would you prefer? What is more frequently updated?
