I made a pack and I'm compressing/uploading it now. It is based on the USA CIA and when checking the romfs it is different than the EUR version. I packed it in the same way as the other HANS release pack.

@duwen I don't have posting rights at the right place (awaiting moderator approval) so I can PM you the link when it is ready and you can post it in your thread over there. I kinda need a way to verify that it even works too. The only thing I did was make sure the game booted and it does.

BTW if for some reason the xml shortcut doesn't show up then you need to update your boot.3dsx file. It seems it was implemented in a later build than what some packs have of it.

Update: Currently the hans version I put together is locking up when entering battles so it isn't fit for release yet. It does not lockup the console though (soft reset back to launcher still works). I did upload it we won't be linking it quite yet. I'm actually working on getting together the european version to see if it does the same thing.

I tried building it myself from the USA CIA, and I also get the same lock ups when entering battles. I hope you can fix it, because I have no idea what to do now.

As for verifying, I believe this pack replaces Ringabell's default outfit with the Wakoku Warrior outfit. I think you get him at the end of the prologue or chapter 1.

Ahh ok. That gives me something else to check. In the end we may not even need the USA CIA if this works out.
P.S. - I found a near completed save on reddit for this game that I was able to load in using save manager.

Europe romfs works with USA release fine. It has no crashes and it seems to replace the costumes fine. I have not been able to go around and verify them 100% (I don't have the costume item that involves the wakako outfit) but if anyone has a save that should have the applicable items for the USA and EUR releases then give me a shout. This was after thorough testing even after someone else stated that it didn't work. o.O

@Asia81 Do you know if the USA CIA file works fine in battles? Both Home_Rowed and I get crashes with the USA romfs in it when a battle starts. I can't check on my 3DS as the firmware is too new.

Any possibility to use this with legit cartridge and HANS?
I'll be upping the Hans version I 'distilled' from Asia81's EUR CIA to that iso place at some point today... unless anyone else beats me to it ;)

edit

It's up!

It works great with my legit cart (or a rom on Sky3ds).

As somebody that doesn't know very much about this sort of thing, can anybody help me out with something?
I downloaded the EUR .cia from the first post and installed it and everything. Everything runs fine until I enter a battle, which results in the game closing and me needing to load up rxtools again.
What gives? Anybody got a fix for this?

Guys, I need your help!

Actually, I need 2 things:
- 1 USA save completed, and ALL JOBS UNLOCKED on ALL 4 main characters. And also all "special" legits costumes unlocked (those that you can get yourself by just playing the game, so no DLC).
- 1 EUR save completed, and ALL JOBS UNLOCKED on ALL 4 main characters. And also all "special" legits costumes unlocked (those that you can get yourself by just playing the game, so no DLC).

!Thanks a lot for help!
Need to try something at the end of the game, and I lost my main save...

I seen.
I'm trying to fix the problem.

I wondered what is the difference between the Japanese versions of Bravely Default?
There is: Bravely Default For the Sequel & Bravely Default Flying Fairy

What is the difference?

'For the Sequel' is essentially the same as the western release, with all the dlc included and the additional content such as Nemesis... 'Flying Fairy' is the original Japanese release, where the dlc was downloaded (some only obtained via codes with the soundtrack and the artbook).

I'm unsure about "Flying Fairy", but if I remember correctly, the "For the Sequel" version has it's battle system tweaked to more closely match the one we will see in Bravely Second. That battle system was used in the regular releases of Bravely Default for US and EUR versions. Yes, this does mean that the battle system is different between the JAP release and the EUR and US versions of the game, and "For the Sequel" was released as sort of a test bed in Japan after the base game.

EDIT: Looks like @duwen beat me to this. Guess that's what I get for taking my time typing :P

Thanks guys.

Because some models are not in Flying Fairy, but in I guess in "For the Sequel".
I need to download "For the Sequel" for "uncensor" the game I guess...
Because I tried with Flying Fairy's files, but black screen when I start a battle...

And I already did it the first time I released the uncensored version... So, I think I used FtS the first time.

I don't know which game I should to use, someone have an idea?

Well, if you're wanting to edit the US and EUR versions to match the JAP counterpart, I'd use "For the Sequel", since it's basically the JAP version of the western releases.

Thanks guy, I appreciate your help :)

Need to check the "3DS database" for download this game now...

Yeah - use FtS; the original 'flying fairy' version may not have the dlc costumes included in the base game.
This wiki page explains the dlc costumes and how they were obtained, and which ones are in the FtS/Eur/USA releases, and which ones are censored.

@Asia81 are you going to try to overwrite the standard outfits with the previously unobtainables in the new release?

Something that I also don't understand.
The JAP Game is ~1.85Gb against 3.3Gb for EUR/USA

I know there is something in addition in EUR/USA like english voices, but even...
They don't take 1.5Gb oO, so...

~22000 files for JAP
~3000 for USA/EUR

A lot of more files, for a lower size?
