Release 2.1
  • Add ability to download thumbnails for Roms. This feature requires iTLS-enso to be installed on firmware 3.60 and 3.65. iTLS-enso is known to cause other issues with PSN, so you can uninstall after downloading thumbnails. https://github.com/SKGleba/iTLS-Enso/releases
  • Note: Accuracy of getting the correct thumbnail only about 90-95%. It does not replace thumbnails if one already exists.
  • BUG FIX: gpu crash in Scrolling Grid view on some occasions.

Release 2.4
  • Add option to download 2D boxart for thumbnails (This option will download 2D boxart first, if not found then downloads the Titles screenshots). If you have previously downloaded thumbnails already, you'll have to delete them first since the app won't download thumbnail if one exists. All 2D boxarts are scaled down to 140x140px for better loading performance.

Is there a way to change select/cancel buttons to O/X for a Japanese PSVita?

That is the main reason preventing me from using this cool app on my Japan import Vita. It seems like many good homebrews automatically adjust this detecting the console's region, but not this one.

first i'd like to say that this is the best thing that happened to the vita, i love this so much.

the ability to run psp/psx straight off the livearea is so useful, and the interface is so speedy, no need to go to psp emulation and wait so long to have your isos load up etc.

Now !! To my simple questions, does CPU speed and High Memory affect psp/psx games ? makes them run/load faster maybe ?

and what is the highest you should use without causing the vita to have hiccups.

thanks!

No such option at the moment, but I can add this.

Like always increase CPU speed reduces battery life.

Frame rates depend on game, some games are locked at 30fps so increasing CPU speed doesn't help. You will have to look at old psp forums to figure what games work better with higher CPU speed.

Example: https://www.reddit.com/r/PSP/comments/dipxow/i_didnt_realize_that_some_psp_games_have_their/

As for high memory, I believe mostly PSP homebrews made use of the extra memory like emulators. Again not a specialist in PSP so better look at the PSP forums for more info.

@cy33hc

many thanks again for this app :) & i have a quick question: is 2.4 the final release ?
There's a few feature request otherwise I don't really have much to add.

1. Swap X/O button (feature request)
2. Allow use of L2/R2 to page through games on PSTV or using back touch to page through games(feature request)
3. Ability to uninstall game. (Vitashell/PKGJ missing the option to uninstall game and the uninstall game in Onemenu is unstable)
4. Add dreamcast category when flycast become available in RetroArch

Release v2.5
  • Add option to swap X/O button. This was feature request by user with Japan vita.
  • Allow use of L2/R2 on PS4/PS3 controller to page through games on PSTV.
  • Add ability to uninstall game. Reason for adding this is because if you have lots of games, they don't appear in LiveArea and CMA. So it's impossible to remove. Also Vitashell/PKGJ missing the option to uninstall game and the uninstall game in Onemenu occasionally crash for me.
  • Add dreamcast category (Currently there is no flycast core, but when RetroArch is updated, this will become usable)

Uhm, where is the delete button for a game? I am probably blind, but can't find it.
You need to have a game selected. Then push the triangle button, in the popup dialog move cursor to the "Actions" tab. There is an "checkbox" called "Un-installed selected game". Option enabled only for "Vita Bubble" games.

Thanks for quick response! Okay, so Vita and PSP games, got it :-)

I do seem to have a problem with my PSP games, as they appear twice in VitaLauncher after having installed AdrenalineDocs (can't link to it due to Newbie status). I suspect it might be due to naming convention as AdrenalineDocs readme guides you to change name of iso. One icon is the original logo (gets Boot PSP game menu, but can't launch) and other icon is the AdrenalineDocs logo (launch directly to game).

Great launcher either way, one of my favourite HBs!

Install AdrenalineLauncher.vpk from my github to get the PSP/PSX launching directly without bubbles. The duplicate PSP games bubbles can be hidden by going to the "Global" tab settings and adding the "ULUS" and "NPU" to the "title ids" to be hidden.

For Vita Games, you don't need to scan. It will appear automatically after install. Vita games info read directly from the Vita's game database.

A new feature to implement folders within Categories is in progress. This will give you custom grouping of games under specific categories.
The current design of the categories make it extremely difficult to mix games of different types (VITA/NES/SNES etc..) under a custom category, so this might not happen unless the app is revamped.
Hopefully the folders will at least allow some level of custom grouping of games under a category.
