Any idea why A083 garc crashes console? If it works in Citra it should work on console, if it's not due to how Luma's LayeredFS works, perhaps that can be something remedied.

If you unpack your rom using hackingtoolkit3ds, you'll get a bunch of folders. One of them is ExtractedRomFS. Copy paste my stuff into that folder. Then rebuild it.
I really dont know how to explain. I really dont know much about this stuff myself.

I tried building this for Citra and just got an error and immediate crash. The Citra support team sent me back to the original creator to inquire in what regard the game was made to run in Citra - upon launch I get the following error -

[ 2.951386] Debug <Critical> core/hle/kernel/vm_manager.cpp:operator():78: Assertion Failed!

The processed I used to get the .3ds includes dumping Ultra Moon, extracting the romfs, exefs, and exheader with ctr tool, merging the GARCs provided, using 3DS Builder to rebuild the rom, then decrypting with GodMode9. I tried with AND without the no outlines patch, and on both the Citra nightly and canary builds, all to no avail. Also I had a friend very familiar with the hacking scene try on his PC with the same result, and as I mentioned, the Citra support team gave me the following -

"You can ask the developer of the ROM hack what they did to make it work with Citra."


Where do I go from here? Thank you

dont try to extract a cxi and rebuild. it wont work (at least for me). i did it with a cia and now it Works (use HackingToolKit3DS like said)

Thank you for the reply! I just tried extracting + rebuilding with a freshly dumped .3ds using the Hacking Toolkit alone, and with Citra I get an error that states that the ROM is probably encrypted. I would try to decrypt with GodMode9, but you said you didn't have to do this correct? When you rebuild the .3ds did it work right away? Thanks!
