Will try. Can I have two different versions of FBI at the same time? Or should I uninstall one first?

Also, what is the fastest transfer rate FBI could offer? My SDcard is class 10.
People have reported to get from 1600 KB/s to 1900 KB/s when using the setting I described.

And yes, you can have installed both the wjchen's 1.4.7 build and the most recent 2.4 FBI update because they use a different ID.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Does this method consume internet traffic?
No. While the 3DS needs you to be connected to the internet or homebrew won't give you an IP without one, it shouldn't consume data when transfering the CIA.

I tried the latest version of this, but the GUI never shows up whether or not I use a command line or just open it directly.

EDIT: Command line just prints "english" and hangs.

EDIT 2: Apparently I had to put it in an empty directory.

I tried this Android app using a Pixel on 7.1 (Nougat). The app loads and I am able to type in an IP address. I am also able to click on the context menu to add a CIA. If I add a CIA or click any other button, the app crashes. Every time.

Thanks, but I don't really get how to use the "(file/directory)" in the README.md

Here's a pack with all the necessary files along with a readme on how to install. Takes no more than 30-60 seconds after Python is installed and is only a one time deal. After that it's just drag and drop. :)

@Olmectron Yup, SocketPunch needs an update. Newest Mode does nothing & Legacy Mode finishes instantly without actually installing.

FBI recommended by you

Trying to install Resident Evil Revelations 3.15 GB

Network interface is not configured At 79%

It seems that the current version of SocketPunch (1.2.5) and the current version of FBI (2.4.7) are not working well together. When I "Punch" FBI freezes, and I get 0% indefinitely on the JAR UI. I can't press B to go back in FBI, and I have to hard reset. At that point, I get an error in SocketPunch saying that it failed at 0%.

Can this be remedied? If not... what's the last known working combination of app versions?

Thanks

It's amazing what one would learn by reading through the actual thread and not just the last page.

Well to be fair I went through the whole thread and I don't think there's a solution to that yet. Same here, stuck on "sending info". Using Java version on Mac OS, with last version of java.

EDIT : to be really fair, seems that yes, 8 posts above. Just use servefiles.py from last FBI github repository. Works well, but seems slower than Socketpunch though :(

I use socket punch v 1.2.5 in newest mode with FBI 2.4.2 to get it to work. I don't really see a need to update FBI at the moment, especially if this doesn't work anymore Lol.
