As long as you have it enabled, you should be able to launch the game outside of smash-selector from the home menu. Try doing that. Could you also tell if the hash values are correct?
No dice,
Game wont launch at all if saltysd is present and not disabled through smash selector.
Game WILL launch if tr4sh is selected.
The hash values are also correct.

What region 3ds are you using. Also, do you think you might be able to upload parts(saltysd and luma folders) of your sd card so I can see if everything looks fine?

Something seems to be acting up. Folders are set in the exact same way in my folders as my friends. But for some reason my friend's Captain Falcon won't work. Happens to be the ONLY character that doesn't work. Any help?

Is there a difference in 3DS models? (ie your friend is using an O3DS and youre on N3DS?)

Maybe those files got corrupted. Try replacing them.

We're both using N3DS

I tried copying from my own SD card where Falcon works but to no avail. Wouldn't a corrupted file (0 bytes) just crash the game?

The folder was named right (captain) with all of its necessary files in it (I checked that all the file sizes were the same as on my 3DS via FBI). Nothing was different except he has no texture mods while I do. But I don't think Turbo has anything to do with it.

0 byte files will result in a crash (tried it before saltysd 1.1 was released). Try including the .mbn and checking checksums.

What .mbn? There are model files in Turbo?

Everything else seems right. Even the UI folder replaces his Smash screen with Turbo'd. Not sure why only Falcon wouldn't work when everyone else does.

The model file for whatever character you are giving a custom texture. It may or may not actually work... Try deleting the file, putting something else on the sd card (just as like a dummy file), then put the file back on there.

Turbo is a file patch with moveset changes not custom textures. Captain Falcon loads correctly but he's not as fast as everyone with Turbo should be.

How do I check checksums?
(someone somewhere is going to murder me for saying this) google online md5 and do what it says for both the files.

I meant do this btw.

MD5?!???!!!?!? How dare you. /s
Ya, how dare any of you use something less that perfection. On a side note, I have practically no idea why people are having problems with smash-selector or how saltysd wont load. Its possible that it might be something to do with the 11.X update, because I know smea is trying to fix HANS(witch also does code injection) after 11.X broke it along with save editors.

I'm on 11.0, works perfectly.
