If you have that flash and close, it means wupclient could not connect to your wii u.(wrong IP/VPN blocking connexion)
As long as you don't see sys_prod.xml.bak and sys_prod.xml, it means that it didn't work.

Thank you. I had my settings wrong, wrong IP :p
using the program in the rar, i was able to find my wiiu ip.
worked perfect, thank you.
great tool.

Hi can you make a reverse tool for noobs? since regionhax causes problems if you want add a new account (system icons missed)
thanks
If you didn't delete your folder, you have your original meta.xml.bak in it.
Simply rename it meta.xml and you can use the original regionhax tutorial.

@emjaee Check OP, I included Uninstaller. NOTE : The uninstaller will only work if your current value is 119 and not 7 or anything else.

This worked perfectly!

mounting /vol/storage_usb
checking /vol/storage_usb/usr/title/00050000/10110700/meta/meta.xml
00000004 => 00000002

after i performed the command above, i still got a region error message, when i click on 007 legend "Error code 157-1104 This software's region settings is not compatible with your region"

So i searched for another option and saw vick link this thread on wiiuiso.

After performing the simple steps with this app, the game launches now without the error message. ^_^ I didn't even have to launch my cfw.img i already had on my SD card. :) Just rebooted after the commands and walla! Thank you vickdu13

Last edited by morpheous,
i used your regionhax only so i think my value should be 119 now, right? unfortunately i deleted the xml files...
thanks
Yes, my installer set 119. So after running the uninstaller, backup both files, the .bak will be the region free and the .xml will be your "original" modified twice but it will be the same as the first on your wii u.

Worked!! Thanks Vickdu31 so much! After failing attempts trying to run patches, I finally got this to run and working. Appreciate your great work!

Jesus Christ... Other very simple ways to get your Wii U IP:

1) Check the device list section of your router.
2) Stop using DHCP like a newb and specify an IP in your Wii U network configuration.
another way: go into the browser on the wiiu, and it settings, enable developer tools and it tells you the IP

Can a mod please close this thread? It's NOT noob-friendly at all, it's very vague, and doesn't even have all the tools promised(no Windows tool for finding Wii U IP address)
there is a tool if you click or press n it'll download a file for you telling you wiiU's ipAddressees the IMG file is simple CFw loader software... did you look at what the cfw for wiiU stuff is or jump to conclusions? btw the wiiU will be under nintendo.co etc. in the ip look-up software

I appreciate and have been enjoying the fruits of this tool on my Wii Us, but think people should know there is now a less invasive way to achieve region-free status. Dimok's latest fw.img gives region-free upon running. Your system won't boot in region-free (you have to run CFW booter), but this should take care off the known issues with creating a new profile on a regionhax-modded sysnand.

This is true, I have to edit the post and say for those who use rednand or always boot to CFW, this is useless now. Still people can uninstall it easily

That's really nice! Do you mean the IOSUHax Build 11.22.16 - Includes region free patch?
Sounds nice, finally a way to play my BOII.
