Well, here is something for the puzzle friends :)
I created two seperate Editors. You might wonder why I don't have any Sprites/Icons in P&D Z Editor. Simple answer is: a) I cannot rip sprites from 3DS by myself and b) over 158 items so far.
This would be too much for a little SGE.
However, my SGE's are just for fun and not 100% free of errors, so feel free to test and as always: Make a BACKUP of your savegames.

Oh well, Puzzle & Dragon Z Editor is 90% done. For now, I didn't include the items from first item tab.
I will do this whenever I got some time or I'm in mood for :)

:edit:
It seems Puzzle & Dragon Z stores values way more weird in savegame.
I found new items and eggs. atm: 30 items, 5 eggs and 20 special eggs.
Updated version will come asap. It's just a pita to find values and offsets.

:edit 2:
Done. Finally I found all (hope so) offsets for

16 Eggs + 181 Special Eggs (incl. Legendary and Santa / Birthday Dragon)
90 Items + 14 unused / japanese
70 Chips + 8 unused / japanese

Now Puzzle & Dragons Z Editor is complete also.
Link updated...

:edit 3:
new version will be uploaded soon
*sighs* never seen such weird data storing before
No more ???-Eggs / mixed with japanese ones.
Found the offset for unlocking ??? names.
This one will be the final then *fingers crossed*...

:edit 4:
yay, NOW I'm done...
All Eggs are named and no more "??? - Egg" labeled.
Unused/Japanese items are now all seperated and no more mixed.
So, I can say: I'm done with this. This one was something weird ;)
Enjoy

Download Puzzle & Dragons Super Mario Bros. Edition

Download Puzzle & Dragons Z Editor

After the v2.0 Update the save location and save file for SMB Edition has changed.
Dragons Z Save Editor is still working with update but for SMB Edition you need the V2 Editor.

The new location of SMB Edtions Save is now: ExtData\00001378\PuzDraZ\Save\
There should be 2 files. (B525403898828 & M525403898828)
* maybe you will have different filenames but one is starting with 'B' and one with 'M'

Run V2 Editor -> open M525403898828 -> edit values -> save M525403898828 -> transfer back to 3DS and enjoy

Download Puzzle & Dragons Super Mario Bros. Edition V2

If someone is using this piece of crap, feel free to let me know if it's working or not.
I used the EU Card version of this game. From what I've read EU/NA/JP versions are slightly different. So EU don't have any support for helpercodes (maybe in future).
Some dragons also not available in EU version so this Editor might unlock the unavailable ones.

Thanks :)

My NA version shows the coins maxed out but it doesn't look as if I have anything else different. It's my wife's game I've never really played it so I'm not sure what I'm looking for but I don't see 99 of any item.

Cool stuff. Except it adds the cut out monsters in the Monster Guide (prolly an oversight in the all egg code) so there's a bunch of gibberish dummy data after amaterasu. :P

Also, an option to keep the eggs in ???-egg form would be nice to have as it's an easy way to tell which of the ones you haven't yet hatched into your collection.

But other than that good job. Especially figuring out the way stuff is stored internally. Cheers.

Okay, I've added an option to keep or reveal ??? names.
What are the "cut out monsters"? TBH, I just startedthe game and finished the first SkyDragon Dungeon yetserday. So I didn't know anything about those monsters.
I just created the SaveEditor without any progress of game.
Maybe you could tell me the names of Eggs / Monsters I should remove from unlocking.
Thanks for feedback anyway

Well... Wish I could but it's hard. Basically everything after amaterasu (264 iirc) in the Monster Encyclopedia list are slots of monsters that in the Japanese version were anime etc. collabs that didn't make it. Despite ignoring )disable unused( it unlocked their entries in the Monster Encyclopedia anyway so I think it's just a slight oversight on the code that made the eggs have unlocked names which, if I'm guessing right, unlocked all 302 entries whether you wanted the "unused" eggs or not. Nothing much to harp on really. ;)

Also, Kudos for the quick fix. Going to test it in a bit. :)

Oh, I thought only those with japanese letters are unused. All others were looking good. The japanese ones had no icon or mini-image. I can play with them but it looks stupid with missing icon. Nor I was able to upgrade them ^_^.
However, SGE is working and this is what counts to me ;)

Oh well, for the "reveal ???" option, If you ever used this before - there is no turning back. I could reset all names to ??? but I don't think this is what anyone wants.
So if you used the Editor before (without this option) it will not reset the ???. Sorry

Can you please tell me how to use this? I'm kinda new, and I'd like to know. I save the thing on the SGE and import on the homebrew, but no changes are happening to the actual game.

I tried to get Puzzle & Dragons Z + Super Mario Bros. save data with both Save Data Manager and SVDT, but both freeze at black top & red bottom screen as I start the apps.
I use New3DS ver. 10.2.0-28U and use smea's latest boot.3dsx, too.

Any method / what I should do to get the game's save?

Are you being for real, cause that's hard to believe, DK is Nintendo and made in japan, Sea of thieves was from Microsoft, in America. I'm not calling you a liar, just didn't know.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Ok yes they were both made by Rare, but DK was from Rare back then, Rare now is owned by MS. So makes since.
