Iv been playing around with this for a few days now, and thought id make an account to share my findings.

-The disc image is important! I had almost no luck in getting any working at all, let alone full speed using games from a very old 'full set' i got many years ago. I then tried a few PBP files I found from the first link in google, and some worked really really well, while others didnt at all. I tried one from a 3rd source and it works the best of the 3.
-3DS CIA opens, shows 3ds logo, then closes back to homescreen: I had this issue with various games, and the solution was to find a different rip of the same game. See First point.

Heres a few games I got working and the settings I used:
For all games, I start with default settings (Reset), and then: Vsync OFF, Sound Interpolation: Simple, Enable Dithering OFF, CPU Clock 31, HLE Bios (more on this below)

-Command and Conquer GDI Disc: Works almost flawlessly. When buildings are being placed, they are missing frames of animation (I suspect this is due to the low cpu clock). This is the only issue I have found so far, and its hardly a deal breaker. Finished the first 2 missions and played with some secret missions. Audio is perfect too.

-Final Doom: Works really well. Doors seem to be missing frames when opening\closing (clock speed again..?), but otherwise everything seems good. Only played a few levels, but definitely playable.

-Tony Hawk 2: Plays 'Well'. Few stutters, mainly when loading, and there's frames missing in game (which you can barely notice, but its there and can be off-putting). Definitely playable, but need to have a play with the settings some more.

-Diablo: Cannot get inputs to work. Game boots fine and plays the opening video, and then eventually loads the menu once the long video is finished. No buttons do anything, and messing around with in-game controls dont help. Worth noting, this works 'well' in retroarch 3ds, so I might need to play with the settings some more. Have tried 'stock' settings but they didnt help the input issue too.

I will try more games using scph1001 bios shortly, and also want to get a few more high quality rips from the 3rd source I mentioned above (since I have had 100% success rate with them so far). Just on a metered connection so its hard

If anyone has a fix for diablo id greatly appreciate it

Update to my previous post:
Settings I used this time - I start with default settings (Reset), and then: Vsync OFF, Sound Interpolation: Simple, Enable Dithering OFF, CPU Clock 37, SCPH1001 BIOS.

Megaman 8, Red Alert Soviet Disc, Red Alert Retaliation Soviet Disc all work perfectly with no glitches I could see. Played around 5hrs of Red alert and around 30min of MM8. All games were PBPs from that popular site that was 'recently shutdown'

I hate to create cia, and ftpd it - then after installation it doesn't work. This will be helpful!

Hi sort of off-topic but didn't know where else to ask, is could someone teach me how to forward using TemperPCE? Maybe how to make a creator if necessary? Please?

Uhm. Why not just create a new thread instead of offtopic another?

Hello all! I try to convert Front Mission 3, but game on my new 3ds stop on infinite loading screen. I used different roms, but this
doesn't help. What can I do else? Help please.

check the game works in retroarch 3ds first.
what format is the game in? iso\img\bin\pbp\chd?

I tried to use clean bin and convert it to pbp and already converted pbp format from internet, but in retroarch infinite loading screen too... With other games psx I don't have problem.

Its not really clear in your last post, but have you tried the bin in retroarch too (non converted)?
I had issues converting some games to pbp. That might be worth a try. Also, are you using scph1001 or HLE bios?

I converted it with different bios - scph1001 and HLE too, but it didn't solve the problem :( Retroarch with bin format Front Mission has infinite loading too.

The forwarder doesn't seem to be picking up the bios it just stays on using HLE bios.
Mega Man legends is compatible but it doesn't move past "now loading" without bios.
I have tried both Mega Man Legend 1 and 2 also Misadventure of bonnie it doesnt work

i already have convert them and it doesnt loading on 3ds so it works for you if so then ill try fix it
ooh well not all ps1 games work on the 3DS and how did you use the forwarder? did you change anything? and what bios have you used i don't think it works on the old 3ds versions. only the new ones

Last edited by FanNintendo,
i send you a message with a link so try that game. if it works then it's just your settings in the forwarder that are wrong. if it doesn't work then your 3ds is not capable to handle ps1 games
