That's a windows open file dialog problem not the editor's. make sure you fully installed or uninstalled daemontool.

Is your 3ds homebrew? like are you playing it on Luma / gateway / sky3ds etcs.
Basically how are you playing Monster Hunter Stories? did you download it from eshop / freeshop or did you buy it and have an actual cartridge?

if your 3ds isnt homebrewd then you won't be able to do it without it as you need the save data which you cant without using JKSM [ homebrew software ] as MH Gen / MHXX & MH Stories requires JKSM to extract the save data because its in the ext data and not on the game.
It even says it on the loading screen, if u tried to play it on a different 3ds with the same cartridge it wont work because the save data isn't on the cartridge

cart is fine. u can still extract extdata from sd card in jksv. my jpn copy is physical, usa is digital,
