.ds_store is not needed? They are the client for the online update. .DS_Store is just a metadata file from Mac OS X.
Yeah.ds_store is not needed?
Only the other two files?

Same.i got blackscreen when using online updater :S

Is this after updating (on mashers homebrew load) or before updating (when launching the updater)? I kinda' want to check if this relates to file accessing in gridlauncher.i got blackscreen when using online updater :S

The main post even says right above that file that attachments won't always be up to date since there is an updater function.Current changelog says b90, attachment is b88 ???
Also, I'm experiencing issues with the updater - I have the files/folders in the correct place; seemed to work fine the first time I ran it - except it said I could update to b76 when I was already on b80, so I quit out. Every time I've ran it since it freezes on black screens.

yeah, I just read that... would be fine if the updater worked. The main post even says right above that file that attachments won't always be up to date since there is an updater finction.

No idea. Haven't actually been able to try the updater.yeah, I just read that... would be fine if the updater worked.

I don't think I have edited the updater!I think @RedHat may have even released an updated updater a few pages back

Well, I'm using the one in the file attached to the op and it works (or rather, doesn't work) the same as the initial release version. No idea. Haven't actually been able to try the updater.

Yes, exactly that.do I just need the 'boot1.3dsx' and remove the '1' from the name?

Those need to be OP materialI don't think I have edited the updater!
If you need them, these are the permalinks to the latest builds:
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/mashers/3ds_hb_menu/master/boot1.3dsx <- Mashers. Always up to date.
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/RedInquisitive/3ds_hb_menu/master/boot_mashers.3dsx <- Really rough development branch (not always up to date with mashers, but can include new features. Read the README here for more details).
Nope. Not around a computer.Yes, exactly that.
EDIT:
edit ninja'd!

Has anyone tried my new release and checked if the audio "pop" has gone away?

Ok, I'm now using your r90 build of the 3dsx and also the two 'default' sound bins - the 'sound' is just a static/white noise when selecting/moving on the grid.Yes, exactly that.

That's a problem. Give me a moment and I'll see if I can come up with a solution. Where are the default sound bins located (what folder did you put them in)?the 'sound' is just a static/white noise when selecting/moving on the grid.
I think the version it will upgrade to is broken. It does the same for me. Why it vanishes is out of my knowledge. @mashers would have to take a look at it.although it's still insisting I update to b76... and after closing, rebooting, the updater has completely vanished from the grid!
I just use cbm with options for FTP server and mglupdate. That's a problem. Give me a moment and I'll see if I can come up with a solution. Where are the default sound bins located (what folder did you put them in)?

Here is what I do:
I use the "homebrew emergency loader" (need link) to load mashers/my mashers build by default. If for some reason it crashes, I reboot my 3DS and hold "A" (That's what I have it set up to do, at least) and it will boot the .3dsx of the updater. It's a little tricky to get set up, but it works.
