I dont know what happened to your device, it's very weird x)

You have to go on your 3DS's settings and add the access point to a free connection (make sure the AP is running on your phone first)

It's the Play Store's job to spread the update Just wait a bit, it should warn you, if it doesn't come, search for the app on the Store and press Update

edit : Another update released, now you can disable the hotspot feature if you want to use it over local WiFi or have your own hotspot

Important notice : the application has been removed from the Store for the same reasons as Ivan Garcia's one. I'm continuing its development here, it will just not be available on the store anymore.

I'm very out of touch with the gateway ultra and how it works. From what I've read, an online connection is necessary for using the gateway exploit on 4.5 higher firmwares, and this APP looks like a great solution, although I have no idea how to use it I'm at home, I connect my Android device to my WiFi connection and run this APP, then what ? I'm supposed to access the URL or QR code on my 3ds when I dont have a wifi connection ? I'm supposed to connect my 3ds to this hotspot when I want to play despite the lack of a WiFi connection ? If someone could explain how to set up this exploit offline I would appreciate it.

Unfortunately that's a little more complicated, you have to enable unknown application sources and download it manually

You have to connect to your hotspot and then flash the QR code

yes you can, just need the launcher.dat on the 3DS' SD root and open the exploit site, but you can't open emunand without the cart, just backup nand, saves and I think downgrade too (not sure about that)

Yeah, that's the normal behaviour, the WiFi can't emit and receive at the same time

Why do you need to access to the user's files in the new version??
Now i can't install it because my mobile was controlled by my job domain's server and they don't allow any app that "can read/write files to the system".

Maybe other ppl don't want their files to be "controlled" by the app :S
