Hello!

I get the "failed to install content: 0xD9004586" error when trying to install games that weight more than 3GB (and some that have just 3GB), specifically Pokémon Moon (I have Sun installed already and I've played it with no problem) and Dragon Quest 8.
Actually, it kept happening even with other games before (Project Mirai, Rune Factory 4, even with Dementium Remastered), but I solved it a couple times just formating my SD card and copying the data from the one I used originally. Ah, Pokémon Moon worked (it installed and I played) before the first format, which I made because this error happened.

I checked my SD card with h2testw and it shows no problems.
did you say pokemon sun works but pokemon moon doesnt work?

Is it possible to increase freeShop's download speed in next update? Can you please explain why it downloads with the speed 700kb - 1mb?
The cause is Nintendo Servers blocking the freeshop's download speed? Console's WiFi?

3ds wifi sucks, you'll never see faster than ~1.5MB/s on it, console limitation, not Nintendo or FreeShop

That's not that simple, it depends on your router, your connection, your 3DS model, the current status of download servers...

Sounds very complicated :/
I have 60mb of internet, normally I download files in 3.0mbps, I have an Old3DS XL.
Anyway thank you for the answers.

I've never had this problem until now but when I load up freeshop it loads up but as it gets to loading game list I'm sent back to home menu with a message that says An error has occurred forcing the software to close the system will now restart.

I'm not sure how to fix this

Delete freeshop folder in sdmc:/3ds/data/freeshop
Start freeshop
If it doesn't work
Unninstal and reinstall freeshop cia
Put url title key
If still doesn't work try with other sd card.

well, it IS simple! every wifi is faster than the N3DS/o3DS wifi speeds. you can hit 14 MBit/s max on the New(!) 3DS. which results in 1500-1600 KiloByte/s max. (netto).
The old 3DS is even slower. Nintendo always cheaps out on hardware! That is the reason you are complaining about eShop slowness. You can have ac-wifi with 3000 MBit/s plus all you want. The 3DS just won't care!

it's much faster downloading a cia file, opening the 3ds, dragging the contents to the SD card, sticking it back in, and then installing via FBI than it is to download from freeshop, especially on larger titles.

Installing the CIA ends up being a bottleneck in that process, so the actual total time is normally slightly lower by using FreeShop/CIAngel/FBI QR Code than it is download/transfer/install.

Going to start posting updates on the site now, it's a bit easier to navigate if you want freeShop news than looking at this thread. (also has RSS)

Also unstable builds are soon going to be on the build server, so there will be a better process for people to test newest features before official release. Will hopefully minimize crashing/bugs that happen after auto-updates. For this next release I'm mostly concerned with it maybe having problems with Chinese/Korean consoles or something when fetching eShop music.

The dlc for street pass doesn't work. I download it and open streetpass and nothing has changed. Solutions? Also when freeshop gets an update how do I update it? Replies are appreciated.

Okay, I started building unstable releases.

It has newest code from repo without version bump. So when it's actually released you can auto-update like normal back to stable version.

I would like some people to test this, namely the eShop music playback. Keep in mind you should have dumped DSP bin already, use DspDump if you haven't.

When you first boot it, it should play eShop music. It will also create the music directory for you. After that point you can place music files in it. Again, read the post: https://freeshop.pw/freeshop-bgm-soon/

Let me know if you have problem. It also includes some bug fixes, biggest one fixing queue duplication when loading a saved queue.
