Anyone have any clue why a particular CIA wouldn't have an install option (tried obtaining another dump of the same content and the same happens), the usual menu in FBI that shows Install, Copy, Rename etc, Install is missing.

How much homebrew do you have installed already? Are you running afoul of the 300-icon limit on the Home screen? Is that even still a thing?

Nope, I've got plenty of space on my 3DS for new games/software still.

So turns out Health & Safety injection no longer works with the latest FBI version 2.6.0
I get the "H&S inject is too big" message with Decrypt9.
Is there any workaround for this?
I always kept FBI injected in H&S since 2.3.0, and with 2.6.0 the generated .app surpass the 1MB size, while the original hs.app is around 930kB

    To inject into H&S,
    • GodMode9FBI.cia → CIA image options... → Mount image to drive → 0000.EE360966.app → NCCH image options... → Inject to H&S → etc.
    To uninstall,
    • (Select) button → Restore H&S.

I did try that as well.
While 2.6.0 does get injected into H&S that way, the 3DS crashes when trying to power it of if I enter FBI -> Exit to Home Menu -> Power off the console.
I get an ARM9 exception when powering down.
This does not happen with any version before 2.6.0

    Oh that bug.
I'm going to assume a lot of your stuff is outdated, so use the starter kit from here and follow the Updating B9S guide.

Mmmm weird, supposedly I already had B9S updated and all.
Anyway, I will try to update B9S today, and then try again with GodMode9.
I am using the latest nightly of GodMode9, so I know that one wasn't the problem (I guess?)
    Thanks for that tho!
Really appreciated, hope this makes it so that I can reinject FBI into H&S once again :P

?! Your latest nightly of GodMode9 injecting FBI into H&S has the ARM9 bug?

Can you point to me which exact nightly?
Edit - Nvm, forget the starter kit and updating B9S. I mean you can use it if there are many homebrew apps that do need updates, you don't feel like individually collecting them all, and you don't do updates through online means.

I'd figure the ARM9 bug you had was because you're using an old version of GodMode9 and thus perhaps a lot of other homebrew apps may be old.

    v34 iirc.
    GodMode9-v1.7.1-34-g0906b4e6-20190109021509.zip

I tried injecting with that one and still got the crash after injecting FBI 2.6.0 into H&S, and then opening it and powering off the 3DS.
It can be replicated fairly easily, as I tried like 3 times switching between versions, and 2.6.0 always made the 3DS crash on power off.

Any particular reason why you don't want it on your home screen? I mean, you could use it once, use it to install itself (.cia), then never worry about the inject again. Other than that, if you really don't want it on your home screen, you can always go the longer route of launching HBL via Rosalina, then launch the .3dsx of FBI. H&S injection is no longer needed since b9s+Rosalina, and was always just a dirty hack in the first place.

On my n3DSXL 11.9, Luma v9.1, b9s v1.3, blah... Using GM9 v1.7.1-34 nightly can inject FBI v2.6.0 into H&S without causing the 3DS to crash when entering injected FBI, exiting back to HOME Menu, and turning off the 3DS system.

How strange that this happens for you. If everything else is up-to-date and you're seeing this in the green box (visually verifying GM9 version), I would consider dumping H&S into a legit *.cia from a CTRTransfer *.bin image, acquiring it from 3DNUS, or that darth site(?) and reinstalling Health & Safety.

Well I know both Luma and GodMode9 are up to their latest nightly versions.
Only thing that I am not in is the latest system version, I'm on 11.6 instead of 11.9
Maybe that has something to do with it?
I will try to re-update everything and try again.
If I am still getting issues, then I'll try to reinstall H&S as a CIA and then trying again.
    Thanks for your help :)

    What the...
I just reinjected FBI into H&S with GodMode9 without downloading a thing, and it works fine now. xD
I think I made the injections with a previous GodMode9, and forgot to redo it once I downloaded the latrst.

Anyway, thanks for the help! :)

All we need now is a text editor so we can open any files and that'd be amazing!

So uh, I once again tried reinstalling and updating everything for FBI, and the issue still persists...

I recorded this video of the situation with my phone so excuse the quality, but I hope this can provide a better idea of what's going on. Notice how despite everything seeming to go as it should, nothing shows up on the homescreen. I didn't show it, but I waited ten minutes or so and even scrolled all the way to the end of the home screen and still no sign of the program.

Those components for TWiLight Menu++ do not show up on HOME Menu. You need the accompanying TWiLight Menu++ Launcher.
