Here is my first NTR cheat plugin which I made to cheat at the casino. It has two cheats, the first lets you always win at Lucky Panel by making it so you always have 6 panels left to flip over and the second gives you 65535 tokens. Having played the PSX version on an emulator with save states I wanted to duplicate that functionality but since NTR's save state support is buggy at best I decided to make a cheat plugin that more or less gave the same end result especially since the existing DQ7 plugin at speedfly didn't include any LP cheats.

Tested on the US version of DQ7 with the Orchestra music added back in and NTR 3.3. It should work on any US version though (and possibly EU as well). Source code (gameplg.c) is included in the zip.

How to use: Go to the casino and enable the LP hack cheat before you start playing Lucky Panel. Then just flip over all the cards for an automatic win.

UPDATE - Version 2 released. Adds code for 300,000 tokens and fixes the bug in Lucky Panel where you lose 5 tokens for each panel you turn over. Note that as a consequence Lucky Panel is now free to play while the LP Hack code is enabled.

Thank you for sharing this!
Do you accept request for other DQ7 cheat?

Not unless it is something that could be done on the PSX version using just save states (in this case, always winning at Lucky Panel should be obvious and getting lots of tokens could be done via poker double or nothing + save states) and is something that can be done with the cheat searcher since I don't know any programming at all, much less assembly. Currently the only plans I have are to increase the number of casino tokens it gives. I suggest you use this NTR plugin if you want more cheating options.

Keep in mind that I made this plugin mainly for myself, I just decided to upload it since the other one didn't have any lucky panel stuff and I figured that others might have played the PSX version with save states and would like to be able to get the same results at the casino without all the extra stuff a full cheat plugin would have.

Oh okay, I already used that plugin from speedfly. I'm actually looking for "monster heart drop" cheat.

Btw, if I want to use your casino cheat, do I need to remove the .plg cheat from speedfly first?
Or can I just put the dq7casinocht.plg inside the 000400000018EF00 folder, together with .plg from speedfly?

Yeah, I would like a monster heart code as well, or even better a full blown save editor with inventory and tablet editing (as in being able to get the DLC tablets without having to download them) support but those are way beyond my abilities.

While you can only have one cheat plugin active at at time there is no reason to delete it. Just use ctrxplorer to rename the speedfly plugin so that it ends in .plg2 instead of .plg to disable it. Then when you are done with the casino, rename dq7casinocht.plg to dq7casinocht.plg2 and rename the speedfly plugin back.

@AncientBoi, Yeah, believe you can do PSP games as well. But a Pi5 is much powerful in comparison.

Not sure about other models of Pi4 but the Pi 4 B with 8GBs OCed to 2Ghz handles PSP really great except like 1 game I found and it is playable it just looks bad lol Motor Storm Arctic something or other.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Other games I can have turned up to like 2X and all kinds of enhancements, Motorstorm hmmm nope 1X and no enhancements lol

I will admit that one does seem more interesting than the usual Ambernic ones, and I already liked those.

    I dread the price point.

This looks like one of their premium models, so... $150 :glare:

    To me that seems reasonable.

I mean since basically all the games are errmmm free lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean yeah sure but the specs are the same as a $50 model, it's just those pesky "quality of life" things driving up the price, like an actually working speaker, or buttons that don't melt, and stuff like that.

I think all in my Pi 4 was well north of 200 bucks 150ish for the Pi 4 the case the fancy cooler, then like 70 for the 500GB MicroSD then like 70 for the Xbox controller. But honestly it's a nice set up I really enjoy and to me was worth every penny. (even bought more controllers for 2 or 4 player games.) hmmm have never played any 2 player games yet :(
  • Veho @ Veho:
Yeah that's what I hate about the RPi, it's supposedly $30 or something but it takes an additional $200 of accessories to actually turn it into a working something.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
yes that's the expensive part lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean sure it's flexible and stuff but so is uremum but it's fiddly.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah a lot of it I consider a hobby, using Batocera I am constantly adjusting the collection adding and removing stuff, scraping the artwork. Haven't even started on some music for the theme... Also way down the road I am considering attempting to do a WiiFlow knock off lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I want everything served on a plate plz ktnx, "work" is too much work for me.
  • Veho @ Veho:
Hmm, with that in mind, maybe a complete out-the-box solution with all the games collected, pacthed and optimized for me would be worth $150
