you can connect this to your Discord account, I have written about this here https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-discord-3ds-client.486294/page-2#post-7637990. Also, you can't make a bot be a regular user, I think that would cause a number of issues on Discord's side.

I can't do anything without the connection error code and message. Your error is too general and not specific.

Yeah, I get the crashes at seemingly predetermined intervals, but it's cool! Also, bug, you can select hidden channels but you can neither read nor send messages in them. You might want to remove selection of hidden channels.

Not sure. Maybe because a phone is the primary device for communication these days and there is, like, a Discord app available?

mostly people who dont have there phones near or in this generation context "taken away" by their parents etc, i guess

That's normal. You press A to send a message in the current channel, and it should appear on the top screen.

Also press Y to see message history. Interestingly, you can see channels that you don't have access to, but you can't send messages or see history.

In all technicality, it isn't against the TOS. That would be like saying logging in at all is against the TOS, as it's just sending a receiving packets the same way as this bot.

Discord officially stated all selfbots are bannable.
