Going through the thread, it appears plenty have suffered this error... So I'm gonna post in hopes that I can get some assistance.

Setup:
O3DSXL, 9.2.0-27U SysNAND, 10.3.0-28U EmuNAND w/ rxTools CFW
DSP firm dumped
CHMM2 2.2, latest version from the site as far as I can tell
Launch method: CIA and 3DSX through HBL
Result: "Error: [string "?"]:4: syntax error near '<\132>'

Both launch methods give me this.

I launched CHMM2 successfully last night and installed a shuffle theme set which I now want to change, but can't because CHMM2 will not launch with either method. Kinda bummed out; no longer want the Tales of Graces silent theme ruining the groove of my other musical themes.

Any further information needed? Ready and able to provide if necessary. Don't know what other info might be needed in order to resolve this issue.

Delete the config file in Themes folder.

Love the response time, you're wonderful. <3
Worked like a charm, thank you very much. :)
I'd like to suggest a spoiler-contained "Troubleshooting" section for the OP, and this could be included. Just a suggestion, of course. You're under no obligation. :)

I just went full retard and installed a theme without setting Menuhax on my Emunand, now it boots into a faint home screen going to black a few seconds later. It tries to reboot into the faint screen again and goes black.

Is there an easy solution to this or did I just eff up big time?

Try to start your 3DS without SD card inserted and then plug it in and reset theme with official Nintendo app.

SysNAND is fine, the problem is the EmuNAND that boots into the faint homescreen. Unplugging SD on EmuNAND goes directly to the Error has ocurred screen.

If you're able to access emunand data, you can delete themes archive and it should solve the problem.
These are the archives (depending on your region): https://github.com/Rinnegatamante/CHMM2/blob/master/source/index.lua#L280-L290
this might be it:

SD:\Nintendo 3DS\your_id1\your_id2\extdata\00000000\archive
your_id1 can be anything;if there's multiple, try opening each one to see which might be yours. archive will be two folders depending on your region.
  • USA: 000002cd and 0000008f
  • EUR: 000002ce and 00000098
  • JPN: 000002cc and 00000082

Yes! That was it! Thank you so much!

I'm having a problem with shuffle that I can't seem to fix. For some reason when I use more than two themes in shuffle the wrong BGM plays sometimes. Is there anything I'm doing wrong, or is this just a bug that needs to get fixed?

I got an Error "cannot initialize Sound module" on emuNAND (by .cia) and my CFM is 10.X (sysNAND 4.2), cant launch homebrew too
What should I do?
