@mid-kid I need the firmkey for n3ds but your download link is down. I want cakes as my 2nd cfw.
Heh, you got that right, @Crystal the Glaceon.

So, just a small heads-up that I just published a new build.
It isn't really anything new, just a small update to support sighax.
As usual, you can get it here: http://ny1.hashbang.sh:8834/nightly/Cakes_197.zip

Next thing on the list is fixing n3ds reboot.cake support. Sorry for my suddent absence. Finals came up and between that and really not feeling like it I didn't really do anything.
However, good news is that after next monday, I will start an early vacation. I hope that I'll manage to put some work into this. Will give you guys a heads-up if that ends up being the case, been thinking about a lot of stuff and I might like some user input.
Until then, see ya!

Well the firmkey isnt included in the package. I already have it.
It won't be included because it contains copyrighted code. You either need to download one from some site or have one already made from your previous install

I tried to download it from mid-kids how to install cakes page. This download link. You know where I have to search?
The links in the OP are out of date, you would need to download the new ones from Nintendo's sever or going to the corbenik repo, which has the direct links there
https://github.com/chaoskagami/corbenik
It's the same files, just obviously I can link the repos and not Nintendo's files.

Owait corbenik doesn't has links to firmkey i already have the Firmware.bin and cetk. I need the firmkey.

That's not how it works. Sharing the key is copyright infringement. Go find them on pastebin or yarr-harrs-arr-us.

it doesnt work with this firms links on o3ds boot9strap cakes.firm it say failed to decrypt firmware.bin and cetk
You must supply the firmkey yourself, since you're on sighax:
https://github.com/mid-kid/CakesFor...4fa7e2d#diff-f434083360904ab69ef79235b2a2b034

As you can see from here, automatic firmkey generation from firmware+cetk relies on an official kernel being installed to the kernel partitions, which is by definition the case of A9LH and not of sighax!

That kinda sucks since you cannot generate your own firmkeys anymore.
Not that I ever understood how to manually create one, but why would it now be suddenly impossible?

All it needs to do it the hard way is a console still on A9LH (before someone actually programs a PC- or console-based firmkey generation thanks to the bootrom keys being dumpable)

Well, maybe @mid_kid is working on a solution for this (?

Recently updated to what I believe is 11.4. I updated Cakes to 196, but now all unsigned CIA's installed won't show and the O3DS freezes if I attempt to open anything. Any ideas on how to fix this? Cakes still says my NATIVE_FIRM is on 11.3.0 I believe this has something to do with it. Any help is appreciated.

If you didn't update your kernel it's a wonder it boots at all...

Have you updated the patches (.cake) too, along with the Cakes executable?
Have you supplied an 11.4 (the only one you can download from Nintendo now) kernel and cetk (or kernel and firmkey if not using A9LH)?
While not related to crashes (but it is to nonworking nonlegit titles), have you re-enabled the appropriate patches?

No I have not downloaded the kernel, I don't know where to get it. And yes, I have the patches updated and re-enabled. Thanks for your help.

Update: I was being stupid, I now have the 11.4.0 Kernel. However, I am having the same problem. I cannot access any applications on my 3ds, it just freezes. I have AL9H also, if that helps.
Fix: Turned it off and on, twice :rofl2:
